Hi all! Just purchased the GTS limited edition model yesterday and love the car so far! Does anyone who also has a GTS care to share their experience so far or give me any advice on what I should be looking out for over the first few months? This is my first car and want to get as much enjoyment out of it as possible.
Feel free to chime in if you have a GT/GT1/GT2 as well

Welcome to the beastmaster. There are a few GTS owners on this forum. I'm sure they will post soon. My advice is to just drive it as much as possible. It is such a great car. Any pics.

First thing you do.....visit the Stinger Shop on the forum order yourself some badges of your choice and get those ugly KIA badgers off your beautiful new car. Oh by the way welcome to the forum you're going to like it here and you will learn a ton. Congratulations on your "FIRST" car you've set the bar pretty high for yourself.
Not so much a GTS-specific piece of advice, but KIA's paint generally isn't the strongest stuff. Getting PPF applied to the front half of your car will be worth every penny and will save that beautiful orange paint from an early demise
Also, I'd suggest your first mod to be an oil catch can. It will save your motor in the long run.
Thank ya'll for the advice! Can't wait to start looking into how everyone is personalizing their rides. As for some pics, I took these last night after I took delivery (don't make fun of my amateur photography skills)
So here's the very short story of how it came to be my first car: When I got my driver's license at 16 I got my dad's old 2001 Toyota 4Runner (I'll always have memories with the 4Runner but I don't consider it MY first car cuz I didn't buy it). My younger brother totaled it last year. I graduated college in May and just started my first job in July here in Houston. I had been ubering/walking places until yesterday when I bought (financed) my GTS! First car!
It'd be cool to hear how the D-AWD system is, if you have that version (being in Texas, I would assume no...?). Otherwise, hot car, enjoy, and congrats on your first purchase !
First thing, check the tire pressure, some delears delivered them with like 50psi in the tires. You can check it through the driver's display after you've driven a mile or two.
No it's got something to do with how they're prepped for shipping from what I understand. It bothers me that service departments all over the place keep missing something that's supposedly on their inspection checklist...
J -- Terrific city skyline pics! Great color-- I like my Micro Blue GT2 AWD but that color is different and sharp! Break her in before you go hog wild. You may want to register on the Stinger Client Services phone line. Good to have them assist and record any issues in case you have dealership push back.
I sat in my car for well over two hours, week one, reading the book and playing with and learning the controls. They're VERY well optioned cars and offer many different ways to experience them at their best but it's good to learn early on as opposed to being annoyed or unaware of all that it'll do on the road. Good Luck!!
All great advice! Tire pressure....wasn't at 50 but it was still pretty high at 44. PPF...have already considered that so now I definitely will apply. Mine is RWD but switching to sport and turning off traction control still activates the "drift" mode by holding gears....not sure if I want to waste some perfectly good Michelin Pilot Sport 4's just yet though
Congrats on purchasing your new GTS. I hope you are loving the new platform and getting to know the car. Definitely go out and drive the car and have a blast with it.
