New GT in CT

Hey everyone, just checking in from CT. Got a Sunset Yellow GT AWD about a week ago. The repaint had been completed so I was able to check it over and it looks great. Loving this car!

I'm in Litchfield County. She's probably going to stay pretty stock for now except for some winter wheels/tires.

Are you on the staggered summer tires? Or the all seasons?

Staggered summers. I definitely prefer dedicated summer and winter tires...although I'm not sure my wallet was prepared for that expense so soon!

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised to get the same tires on my GT, but then I realized that I was gonna need to get wheels and tires for the winter set.

Looking into something simple from town fair. Not really sure where else to get some wheels and winters from :/

Hi there. I have staggered summers too: some parts are just right and some parts are a mite too hot. The tires work wonderfully well either way however.

My solution to winter is going to be to swap the summers (the rears are going to be pretty well shot by then) for A/S "Y" rated (186 mph plus) Michelins or Continentals: unless I happen to come across a different brand that costs less for the same warranty and performance level. Not that I plan on driving FAST during the winter; but come spring, if the A/S are quiet enough, I may just leave them on year-round. We don't know yet.

(edit: a Yellow with new skin! That is a very fine sight.)

Interestingly enough...it essentially replaced multiple cars that I was unhappy with.

Had a 2013 Volvo S60 R-Design which was fantastic. It was nearing the end of its warranty so I went to a 2018 WRX. Bad...bad...bad decision. I hated that thing.

Traded the WRX for a 2016 VW GTI...which ended up annoying me.

Traded the GTI for the Stinger. I love this car and hope to have it for many years. Fingers crossed for no issues!
