Hey all,

I took the GT to a Track Night in America and the end result is brake feel that's a little squishy. I loved the aggressive stopping power of the car before the track night, now the pedal's got a little more travel than I'd like before the brakes grab hold hard.

I'm guessing a brake bleed would get me back to normal and that would be fine for street driving, but I figure I might as well upgrade to better fluid (thinking of Motul 600). I'm leaning towards holding off on the brake pads because the car has low miles <12000, and when I got it with 8000 miles, I know it had had a very soft life. I may do 1 or two track nights a year too, so not necessarily going to be a track hawk here.

But if anyone has a pad recommendation that fits the bill of aggressive street/occasional track usage, I'd love to have that on record if I do go that route.

Thanks, Ryan

I've been looking for a similar recommendation on pads for 90% street and 10% track days. But I'm in a different region then you and 1/2 my track days (like 6-8 a year) are in Winter.

I did swap out the default fluid for StopTech 660, which has been solid for track days after the fact on OEM parts. It's helped to have a more consistent feel over duration/temps.

660 is racing level, right? How many bottles did you need. I've read two is fine. One for the flush and one for the fill. I'll probably have the brakes flushed when I get the winter wheels put on. I don't know when a pad solution will be forthcoming.

It's not racing level. It's the highest temp & brand that seemed reputable from the local tuning shops (checked 3 and all said the same brand).

It's also about the top end you can put in without changing brake lines at the same time.

I also didn't do this myself, so unknown on the volume required to flush & fill.
