New Coils!

Just ordered new HL Mando coils from Rock Auto on Tuesday, got them in this afternoon. Just finished installing them and car purrs like it should. Was getting a lil hiccup under heavy throttle so I knew it was time. Already had HKS plugs, so figured with 104k miles, it was time to swap them coils out. So the boxes showed up with 3 LH and 3 RH coils, or so they were marked. I actually received 2 LH and 4 RH coils. You can use a RH coil on the LH bank if you use it at the LF cylinder, closest to the headlight. I saw 4 & 2 and was like, “gotta get them in!” Ain’t hurting nothing! $300 w shipping and yes they are the newer/upgraded units.

Yeah thats why I chose them. And they were a few $’s cheaper than the Hyundai coils.

Were your actually marked "Mando"? I ordered the same from Rock and mine came in the Mando packaging but there's no manufacturer marked on the coil at all, in fact, it looks like the part # was scrubbed off.

2 were clearly marked HL Mando, 3 had marker covering the lettering and 1 had a white dot like the LH coils come from factory.

And they were all in HL Mando packaging
