Hi all, Just took delivery of my 22’ Stinger in Thunder Grey with Suede interior, tint and darkened tail lights and markers. Going to be looking at the JB4 package in the spring…after all the snow falls ;)

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you? I’m glad you found us. :)

Welcome. Did you get it undercoated? With snow comes salt, and lots of it. I went with Corrosion Free.

2011 Kia Optima SX…previously I had driven Saabs with a brief interlude with a Nissan Maxima but hands down… the Stinger has to be the best GT packaging in the market. Cannot get over the conversations both with car peeps as well as non car peeps that just want to know what it is!

Oh and best of all is the look on a my friends face in his Audi S5 when he stares at the Stingers tail lights pulling away…

Welcome to the hive! What part of Canada are you in?
Ottawa. You? Would love to know if there’s any groups in the Capital region for Stinger owners that have tuned and talk to them about who’s good in the area.

Hey! Welcome and congrats on your Stinger! I'm in Belleville and if you're looking for Stinger groups to join there is an Ontario Stinger Club group on Facebook as well as an Ottawa Valley Stingers group.

Hey, I’m i have in Ottawa too, well actually in southeast Orleans. I have a 2022 Ascot Green GT Elite with suede. I used Krown for corrosion protection. My shop took the undercarriage aero panels, off, took it next door to be sprayed then brought it back to re-install the panels. Techs got dripped on doing that!

Congrats getting a stinger. This car with decent snow tires, just plays in the snow. It always finds traction. I live out west (calgary) but last year had a 60cm blizzard in the mountains and whereas other cars were getting stuck, my stinger had no issues (2020 GT2).

Welcome!

I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a 22 GT Elite with the suede package. How does the suede on the dash and doors stand up to fingerprints? Any wear issues that you might have noted on the "suede" on the seats? I love the suede and the red stitching but concerned about how the material may stand up to wear and tear.

Thank you for any info you may provide:)

I only have 1100 km’s on the car at this point. So far, no issues with the suede.

I have about 5000KMs and no issues. The suede dash got coffee on it and a damp cloth was all that was needed. No issues at all. Plus, it’s a beast of a car…wearing a tuxedo!

Sonax Alcantara cleaner when a damp cloth doesn't do the trick, just use a very low nap cloth as it tends to "grab" longer fibers

I definitely love the looks and the suede package with the red stitching and red seatbelts is one of the reasons I am potentially trading my 2021 Stinger in for a 22 GT Elite with this package. Being a bit OCD about car detailing (o.k. a lot of O.C.D.), I keep wondering whether I should just go with the regular Nappa leather seats, instead of the Suede package that I love look wise but worry about how it is going to look after some time of use. I watched a number of youtube videos about alcantara upkeep and it involves special brushes and a lot of TLC that would not be the case with the leather, looks notwithstanding. Do I want "project Alcantara" 24/7/365? :)
