Just picked up a new 2022 GT2, Black with red seats. I absolutely love this car, but I feel another 100-150hp would be great.
Been following these threads a bit for the past couple months to see what you guys are doing with your Stingers. I have AEM intakes coming on Friday, have yet to decide on an exhaust, and want to put in a JB4 with plugs.
I'll also be putting in an OCC and a blow off valve (if that is even necessary).

great lists of mods. No in BOV imho.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you? I’m glad you found us. :) Check out the forum store and vendor section for all types of mods.

Thanks y'all.

@Kia Stinger My daily driver for years was a 2006 Cadillac STS 4.6 AWD, need to decide what to do with it now.

Howdy and welcome. Another 150 HP, lol: there goes the 100K miles warranty, maybe/probably. :P

Thanks. Are there real concerns in regards to that? LoL

It completely depends on two things: mods connected to the problem that you take the car in for: and/or the dealership that you are dealing with are a pack of jerks denying warranty service over just about anything that they can blame you for. I know a local guy whose engine died on the highway, and after looking at it, even disassembling it, even calling in a Kia technician, they blamed the owner: he had installed his own air intakes. He got no joy: and the dealership asserted that the engine was trashed/unfixable, without ever telling him what the problem was: they "offered" to put him into another Stinger (he was upside down and that was a poor choice, but he did it anyway): later he discovered that they sold his reassembled Stinger, so, clearly it was not kaput like they told him it was. This is an example of worst case scenario. Do what you want to your car and possibly, if you feel concerned, remove your bolt-ons before taking it in. We have at least one forum member who had his tracked, heavily modded engine self destruct: he took off his mods, and Kia warrantied the engine and put a new one in. That is a "best case" scenario, if you look at it from somewhat of a shenanigans point of view. It is a fallen world, and karma never sleeps.

@MerlintheMad I appreciate your input. The dealerships in my area seem to have pretty good reviews, but I would definitely return everything to stock (maybe aside from the exhaust, depending) if I had to bring it in for warranty purposes.

Since Kia introduced a modified exhaust with the refresh, I don't think it is something to worry about: besides, you can't be dismantling your exhaust system and storing the OE exhaust to put it back on before going to the dealer for service. The very contemplation could make one ill.

What do you mean by "worry about"?

Since Kia already added their own optional exhaust system that opens the door to similar aftermarket exhaust systems, so, not to worry.
Which aftermarket systems do you know of specifically for the 2022? I know it sounds pretty good already, but would like something just a little more deep or "throaty". Most references I've seen for the 2022 are pretty much a custom setup, since I know they did make changes to the exhaust system between the '22 and previous years. I admit I am mostly uneducated when it comes to this vehicle, and there are obvious changes to the 2022, as well.

As far as I can tell from reading, any aftermarket exhaust system that folks have been putting on earlier model year Stingers will work on the MY22. In fact, a local guy replaced his refreshed exhaust with the Borla. Utah Stingers

So I received my AEM intake this morning, was in the midst of installing it when I realized that they put 2 of the same intake tube (2 passenger side tubes), pretty ridiculous, definitely not happy. I basically jerry rigged the cone filter to fit with the stock tube for the time being, it was not fun.
