Hey guys new GT1 owner. 1st car I have purchased for my self. Yes I am 39 and old for just buying 1st car, always used family or work truck for vehicle. Looking forward to getting help with upgrading car without destroying it.

I'm nearly twice your age and this is my first brand new car too. 
The reason why I bought a car at all, and this one in particular, is because the "Stinger Story" impressed me that this car was different, in ways that I want in a car at this time in my life (traveling, road trips in place of flying), when I enjoy driving without children in the mix.
