hi guys i have kia stinger GT v6 turbo.
I'm wanting to buy tires at the moment I have the factory stock wheels 225/40/19 - 255/35/19
I'm getting a good deal on these tires 245/35/19 - 255/35/19 .
just not sure if 245 will fit any help please thank you

I don't know about the fit, but the 255's are about 0.8" larger in circumference and get 9 less revs per mile.

If you're AWD, that might be bad for the transfer case. I recall reading on this board that if you're AWD, you want the overall tire diameter and circumference as close as possible front to rear.

245 is good on 8" wide rim. your moving toward oversteer with wider front tires. but people have observed that the oem setup has some understeer already, so that might be a good thing?

the proposed sizes are only 1.2% difference in od. I've read many times on here that anything within 2% difference is safe on awd. 1% is certainly safely within that allowance.

^^When reviewing tires (and sizes), look at revs/mi rather than calculated diameter.

Not AWD only RWD, I'm just worried if is it going to fit the front or is going to rub as I turn

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

On stock rims they won't. Still, while I'm not opposed to a good deal on tires, the sizing has got to be correct for me to consider. Not all tires of the same designation share the same exact dimensions. Check with the mfr specs of the tire you are looking at. My guess is you should be fine. With a slightly smaller rolling diameter front tire, your Stinger will sit with a slight forward rake.

How that front tire will affect handling at the limits is less predictable. Having a lower profile tire with less compliance has the effect of a stiffer front suspension, which might offset the added traction from wider tread width and not make the car steer any more neutral. Start with the same 36psi tire pressure as stock. Tire Pressure Calculator You may need to tweak it a bit from there.

My guess is the overall effect on handling should be net positive. Although, for everyday driving over public roads, I'm not a fan of going with even less sidewall than stock 19's.
