Hello all!
I'm a proud owner of a recently purchased 2018 Stinger GT 3.3TT here in South Korea. As a service-member stationed in the region for a few years, it was easier for me to just buy a Korea-spec Stinger here as opposed to try to ship something over.
I love everything about the car...except the exhaust note...which is practically nonexistent. It has no character whatsoever.
There is a great exhaust shop locally, but the only work they do is complete custom fabrication. I was hoping to get a Stillen or Borla exhaust designed for the Stinger GT, but I'm going to need to go complete custom on the job.
My question to the group is: what setup is preferable when it comes to actually hearing the engine, with a quality exhaust note, without excessive drone? My car is complete factory spec, and since it's warrantied, I don't plan on switching out the first set of cats where the O2 sensors are located. It will create errors that I won't be able to clear without a custom ECU tune, which I don't want to do at this time.
So far, from the people I've talked to, the consensus seems to be removing the secondary cats, moving to a larger diameter pipe, and utilizing high flow mufflers. While a lot of car owners I know in the area have opinions, I would like to hear from actual Stinger owners and what setup seemed to work best for them.
Thank you!
James
