My 2016 Optima did not have the search box I've circled in the picture, but my 2017 Optima DID.

Map.webp

Now, my 2019 Stinger didn't have it at first, but then it popped up. Now it's gone again.:cautious:

I don't like it because it's redundant and obscures a small part of the map, but I can't figure out how to make sure it doesn't come back.

Any ideas?

Are you in park when you look for it?

I believe these search boxes (at least with android auto) go away when the car isn't in park and you must use the voice controls.

Honestly, I can't say for sure with the Stinger, but with my Optima it displayed all the time (and so does my wife's Soul), regardless of gear

I'll check today when I go out.

New Rules of the road that newer vehicles have to follow maybe.

I don't know much of what's on the factory nav screen, I use Apple CarPlay exclusively with either Apple/Google/Waze maps.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
