• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

When returning to my car recently in a public car park I noticed the front license plate had been damaged and suspect someone with a tow bar fitting has reversed into me.

I can not see any other evidence of damage other than to find a small piece of plastic that has broken off from somewhere that was sitting wedged under the sensor panel in the middle of the grill. As it is in the same black chrome colour of the vehicle trim I assume it has broken off from somewhere on my car but cant work out from where???

Could it have been from behind the grill and was pushed out when the impact from the other car possibly compressed my front bumper?

The front camera and collision warning system (sensor) are still working OK.

I guess this is when a dash cam maybe handy not that it would probably be worth claiming on this.

Could it be part of the car that hit you? Looks almost like part of a letter from another cars badge.

Bummer!?:mad::mad::mad:

I'm guessing that, in slow motion, a "replay" would show the hypothetical trailer hitch pushing the bumper cover back, producing a temporary separation along the line of the bumper cover and the bottom of the upper grille: and as the cover got pushed back/in, an attachment point snapped off and ricocheted off the radiator area and shot forward: and as the grille and bumper cover returned to position the emerging broken off fastener got pinched between them. So, this belongs inside the bumper cover and you now have a broken off attachment point.:unsure::rolleyes::(

Except, that it's not pinched between the cover and the grille, is it? Heh!? Oh, well. Something like that. Unless the vehicle that hit you also has a part that is matching dark chrome.
