Hello all,

I’m mainly doing this to keep track of the little I’m doing to the car for myself, but also for entertainment purposes for anyone else who may stop by. Car is a 2019 GT AWD. I have a few things being shipped next week and I’m hoping to have everything installed by the beginning of next month. I’ll try to provide reviews and details once everything is on.

Currently on the way:
Stillen Catback exhaust
Stillen CAI
Racechip GTS
Denso Plugs
Dragy

Also planning on tinting the windows to 20% all around and that will be the extent of messing with the car. I enjoy it as it is now, but I’m excited for the extra fun to be had with the other goodies added on.

I’m not looking for the fastest setup, nor the most popular and I don’t plan on doing any Dyno stuff. On that topic, I don’t want a JB4 either lol. I wanted to go my own route and run with it, which is why I gave Stillen a shot against most opinions on this forum.

My experience with Stillen so far has been excellent. I called them on Tues to check the availability of the exhaust and intake. I was told they were built upon demand and they had 3 exhausts on back order. He continued saying parts would be in on Fri, and if I ordered before then, mine should be built and shipped with the others. I placed the order on Wed and got an email today that everything shipped and will be in next week. Results for others may vary, but I’m pleased with that.

Since I’m not doing a Dyno, I will do my best to give average numbers for stock, with intake and exhaust, and finally with everything and the Racechip using the Dragy. I’m excited to see what she’ll feel like, and for anyone else interested...Stay tuned

Sounds dope. Best of luck.

Go ahead and toss a Stillen front lip while you’re at it.

Updates with everything installed.

I had the Denso plugs put in and gapped them to ~.026. The exhaust was installed and the fit was excellent. I did the cai and it was a bit of a pia, but with a little work she fits and works well. RaceChip install was quick and easy with no issues. On to the numbers.

Using dragy and the same stretch of road, I averaged 4.66 0 to 60 stock. My best was 4.60. After adding the Stillen Catback/CAI, I didn’t get an opportunity to run much at all. I then added the RaceChip and tried map 7 on race mode. Over 7 runs, I averaged 4.31 0 to 60, with a best of 4.23.

Stillen Review:
The process from ordering to delivery was one week total. The exhaust fit great and the sound is far from described on here and YouTube. Most I’ve seen claim it’s as quiet or quieter than stock. This is far from the truth. The initial start up with the exhaust was very noticeably different from stock. Louder in every way and it has a deep/good sound. It isn’t overwhelming under load, but you definitely hear it regardless of where you are in the rpm range.

The intake doesn’t leave much room for error, so getting it to sit right takes a bit of work. After fighting the tubes to get the right angle, everything fits fine and it looks and sounds good. It isn’t too loud unless you get on it and even when you do, it’s not overwhelming either.

With all the horror stories on here from early development with Stillen, I couldn’t be more pleased with the products and quick delivery.

RaceChip Review:
I ordered the RaceChip the same day as the exhaust and intake and it delivered two days sooner. Coming from Germany, I’m impressed with that time frame. The installation and initial setup is very simple and doesn’t take much work at all. It’s all well detailed and pictured in the user manual that came with the product.
The performance is impressive. You can feel a noticeable difference in maps 6 and 7 on race mode. I run 93 octane and with the plugs gapped, I shouldn’t have any issues.

Support has been excellent. I’ve called twice now to fine tune things and each time I had a new tune ready for download within minutes. Very simple process and the app works like a charm.

I haven’t had the chip on long so I can’t give any opinions on long term use, but I will after some time with it on.

I’m impressed with everything so far from both companies. The car is fast and I likely won’t mess with anything else. If anyone has any comments or questions, feel free! ;)

As you mention it's very hard to judge the real world sound and volume of various catbacks from videos so...would you say the Stillen exhaust is "loud" per se, or obtrusive? I feel like I can tell that the Borla would be way too loud, and definitely raspy, so I'm hoping you might be able to provide an opinion of the Stillen vs. an obviously loud system. Also, and more importantly to me, is there ANY drone or especially resonance in the cabin at any RPM ranges? And finally do you feel like their extremely optimistic published dyno results are anywhere near actual real world results, or even the all-important butt dyno gauge improvement?

Any other details you think might be relevant are appreciated as well. I'm trying to narrow down my catback choices between the MBRP, Magnaflow, and Stillen - my main concerns are "loud" (avoid), drone (avoid at all costs), and any bonus power bumps they may provide (want of course, but not totally crucial). Thanks!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Heh, thanks Merlin, I read that before posting here so hoping to cover more detail than just the overall volume issue. Cheers!
