My longest shot ever: Anyone on here previously own this exact car?

I am asking because maybe by some chance, the previous owner of this Stinger has an account here since it seems to have been slightly modified. With nothing to lose and everything to gain:

Did you buy your Stinger GT from Classic Kia in Waukegan, IL back in February of 2018? Did you also recently trade it in for a Toyota Supra up in Michigan?

Just know him from facebook for the most part. Also I believe he posted something up a few days ago talking about how he believes there was a car for sale that was his.

Hmmm this looks familiar lol.... this has a motor with 24k miles. full eibach suspension. Was raced and dynod vigorously. I also left a box in the trunk with new endlinks, new stinger headphones and some new stinger badges. The ecu is possibly on a BTR e30 tune. Fyi.

Yeah that is definitely the same car. Does the ECU not reset once all the equipment is detached? I didn't see anything under the hood.

No, and I would avoid a car that's been that heavily modified, dyno tuned and raced like that.

Am I able to reset the ECU back to stock? Undoing the battery cables? I want the ECU to operate like it was meant to, or is that not possible at this point?

Yes this was my car. Yes you are able to reset the ecu to stock. We reflashed it back (what we think is the stock file), but I wasnt 100% sure. The tune was mild as I was stacking with a jb4. Should be fine honestly just a higher hp stock car. Just dont go trying to use 87 octane and you'll be fine lol.

Thanks for getting on this thread, but I think this car is not the right one for me. It looked like a sweet build from what I saw! How do you like the new Supra?

Thank you all for your help! I really can't believe you guys were able to pinpoint the owner like that. We should have a section on finding original owners before buying a used car from a dealer, it would add a lot more transparency to used car sales.
