Hey Stingers didn't know where to post this, but as I was taking a drive on this nice sunny day. I saw what I thought was a chip in the window, and also what looked like overspray? So I just got back...left the car in the sun and started with the Windex....lol.....the inside window was a lil dirty cause of out gassing of interior ,but the nastiness is inside the layers of the window... looks like an inferior window....and it just depends on how the sun hits the glass...but im not going nutz....this window has got stuff imbedded inside....what to do? just leave it? or take it in? damn the bad luck

Is the "imbedded stuff" just here or there? Or generally all over the glass? Because if it is just a couple of tiny specks, then I say live with it: "Nothin in life has any business being perfect". Not even sound deadening (layered) glass. Heck, you'll have rock chips that outnumber your flaws in short order anyway.

Shortly after I picked mine up I noticed a similar issue when looking into the sun, it was like the screen was badly crazed. I spoke to Dealer about it and they said it was most likely caused by contamination when it was sitting on the dock after shipping. This sounded reasonable as I know there are train tracks nearby so probably fall-out from brake dust etc. Dealer offered to have it polished and subsequently it looks like it should - crystal clear. For unknown reasons none of the other glass surfaces were affected.

Dealer can polish? sounds like a plan :) Wash
maybe it just looks like its inside the layers?......

If it's rail dust you can remove it yourself with Iron-X. Since it's just the window it should be pretty easy to remove.

If it doesn't come off with Iron-X it definitely isn't rail dust.

Thanks Guys for the help.....If it was just in a spot or two that's okay...but im seeing this crap all over...today was the first/second day of sunshine...been cloudy for days and days...so I guess that's why I never noticed...and the car hasnt got driven much.....ran my hand over the outside and yep its all over...prolly rail dust....Iron-x tomorrow ....then the dealership....lol
I can just picture this in my head....with all the things people bring in their Stinger for....trannies,motors,painting,and such...and here comes this yahoo with glitter in the front window :) Wash

Yes, but tell him it’s Texas glitter, everything’s bigger in Texas dang it.

Hey, I think that this is normal. It doesn't really show up unless you are looking directly through part of the windshield that lines up with the sun. When you move your head side to side, the "glitter" follows you, and virtually disappears everywhere else. In other words, the windshield shows a rather tight pattern of diagonal "U" shapes, very small and thin, in a regular arrangement. It must be an artifact of how the two pieces/layers of glass are bonded. I can live with it.

Nope that's not how mine is....its all over in no pattern....ran my hand over it and its like lil bumps....you know what im thinkin/ maybe its adhesive bumps from having my car wrapped/clear bra on the hood and most everywhere else....the installer was showing me the make up of the clear wrap and he said theres an adhesive on it,,,and I watched him spray alcohol/water all over....maybe its that....I havnt ordered iron x yet...ill run the car up to him.....he will know I bet :) Wash
