I have an appointment with my Kia dealer early next week for them to have a look at the driver seat in my 2018 GT Limited, because since last week half of the power adjustments don't work anymore (lumbar support and side bolsters). I hope that it's just a connector that came loose. I had a look under the seat myself, but didn't see anything obvious. Perhaps a broken wire? Luckily, it was well adjusted for me when it stopped working. I noticed it when the bolsters didn't squeeze me anymore when going into Sport mode. I'll keep you posted...

Did you check fuses?

This is indicative of how a marriage begins to fail as well: not enough squeezes or "sport" mode. (Hope you are right and that the whole danged seat doesn't need replacing. )

Did you check fuses?

I had a look in the owner's manual under the fuses section, and there is a single 30A fuse dedicated to the Driver Power Seat. And since half of the adjustments still work on it, I'm assuming that the fuse is good, otherwise none of the adjustments would work. But thanks for the suggestion. :)

BTW, since I bought the car (august 2019), I have had the driver seat automatically move back each time I turned off the engine, and move forward when starting it (a feature available in the dash settings), so as to minimize wear of the side bolsters each time I got in or out of the car. Maybe this constant moving back and forth stressed the wire harness underneath the seat? I don't know. We'll see what they find out this coming Tuesday...

I'll be interested to hear the diagnosis. I'm 6'5" and also use the seat "easy ingress/egress" feature. Hopefully it's just a loose connector and not a fatigue issue with the constant back and forth.

Update to my initial post: the Kia Dealer found the air pump to be defective. Yes, the driver seat lumbar and bolsters adjustments are pneumatic, driven by a small air compressor. They've managed to get it working again, but a replacement unit was ordered anyway (comes with its own frame and hoses). As soon as they receive the parts, they'll replace them under warranty of course.

My lumbar and side bolsters just started doing this except I had mine in the middle of a change so it's in the wrong spot. How long did it take the dealership to get the parts and install?

Same issue, went to dealership and they thought the fix was to replace the switch part#88540-J5120 but that didn't do it. @TheAlien666 if you happen to know the part number for this so called air compressor, mind sharing it? Thanks

Anyone dealing with this by chance learn how this thing is powered? I'm trying to get one working outside of the car. I have all the other adjustments working except for ones driven by this aircell module.
