My first home baked cake

Hello.

Today i baked my first own home baked cake that i am going to serve at work tomorrow when i turn 40. All from scratch.

The jam/mash in the middle is something called "Queen Jam" (50-50 raspberry/blueberry jam) mixed with mashed strawberries.

Whipped cream with 2:1 ratio whipped cream and something we have called vanilla cream, and some lemon extract mixed together.

Then topped with halved fresh swedish strawberries (super expensive, like $20 per 1000g) in a ring
and fresh raspberries in the middle of the ring.
And then some red decoration gel on the edges.

Puts my first cake to absolute shame. I tried a soda cake recently, I figured with just two ingredients (strawberry cake mix and Sprite) even I couldn't mess it up. I was wrong....

Its a bit inspired by something we have called "roll cake" (see image)



The idea was "one (big) slice" of rulltårta with cream-mix on, topped with fresh berries

It was great.
One or two said it was the best cake they had (home made kind).
It was eaten up almost fully the first day, was just little left until friday.
