So I just put my girls 1000km on my new Snow white Stinger Limited and thought I would share my thoughts. My last vehicle was a 2016 BMW X5, so that’s what I will compare it with( I know not exactly a good comparison SUV vs Sedan, but that’s all I got)

Performance:
Ok, I think we all agree this car is crazy fast, but I wasn’t ready for just how fast.. I love dropping the hammer and leaving cars in the dust, and the engine sound, as fake as it might be, is great in sport mode(which i rarely take it out of BTW.) yes a bit louder would be even better but still sounds better than my x5(the 3l twin turbo with m performance package)

Interior:
Very impressed with the interior. Seats are great , the nappa leathers is soft and lots of room for my kids in back seat. I am a little disappointed in the led lighting of the interior. Yes you can change color but there should be more lights, I count 3. It’s just too dark. The bmw has a lots of led lights and the effect is great. Not a huge deal though.

Tech
I’m a tech so I love this part.. and this car doesn’t disappoint.. it has everything my Bimmer had plus more.. I love the lane keep assist, works great. Android auto, not loving net it yet..I haven’t found how to listen to my Sirius app and use the voice recognition of AA to return emails.. it won’t mute the Sirius app when I try to talk.. maybe I’m missing something here? And before you ask .. I use the Sirius app to listen to recorded episodes of Howard stern.. or yes I would use the cars Sirius. The Uvo app works well too, even if it’s a bit slow, and you can only set the run time for 10 min, but still a good thing to be able to start your car from anywhere you have cell service..

I’m avg’ing around 10.5l/100km for fuel economy, sorry I didn’t not have MPG. I think it’s ok, not great, but I am n sport mode most of the time.. small gas tank too, only getting about 550km per tank.. another small gripe.

I can confirm golf clubs don’t fit without back seat down, disappointing, but I can live with it.

For me the stinger has lived up to my expectations and everyone I show it to, is completely blown away that it’s a Kia , .and being from a small city with no Kia dealer, I think I should be the only stinger in town for awhile .

Nice review. Thanks for sharing. The Stinger isn't perfect for sure but man I'd be damned if I didn't acknowledge the smile I get every time I plant my foot on the GO pedal!

10.5l/100km = 27 mpg.

Great review! Thank you for sharing this with us! :)

Nice review and I agree on most points.
We do not get the ambiant lighting but from what I've seen its not on par with the current industry standards (especially vs. the luxury segment).

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
10.5L/100KM is ~22.4MPG, not 27.
My apologies. I consulted an online converter and either misread it, or it was wrong.

22.4 mpg is correct.

Yes I agree.. minor issues in what’s been the best value for my money.. coming from a few bimmers it’s crazy how overpriced they are( all luxury brands actually).

I was a BMW service manager in the '80's. I think one reason BMW went to "free" oil changes and such is because the mandatory inspections were killing the buyers who had marginal finances and were buying status symbols. My experience of 10 years with them is that they are good cars, rest too highly on their logo and slogan (Ultimate Driving Machine) and were revered by drivers who were brand conscience in a era when there weren't a lot of good cars. GM, Ford and Chrysler were undergoing engineering problems going from carburetors to fuel injection, and cars like the BMW, Saab and others were a step ahead with the K-jetronic systems and later direct injection before the U.S. caught up. The foreign mystique never died for many people and MB, BMW and others live on from their history, not from their excellence. There are no "bad" cars today or they wouldn't survive. I have always been a GM fan, but GM canned Pontiac and the other divisions don't speak to me. I was resigned to keeping my venerable G8 until stung by Kia. 3 more days .....

Depends on which size gallon you are discussing. 10.5 L/100km equals 26.9 MPG in Imperial gallons and 22.4 MPG in US gallons.

Regardless of the systems used, that’s pretty decent for a 365HP car.

IMHO , I really dont like the multi color Ambient Lighting , my last BMW had it and when I saw it the first time I just remember thinking " these guys have lost their way "...........................my$.02

To their credit, BMW still makes a tremendous inline six engine. But otherwise, it's hard not to agree. The distinguishing personality that used to make them really worth the extra cash is largely gone (2 series excepted). Now they're just nice, super high tech, well rounded cars with good engines. But you can say that for most Audis, Mercs, and now even Kia. Of the upscale brands, only Cadillac (hard to believe I'm typing that but it's true), Alfa, and Porsche (for huge bucks) seem to hold the flame for serious old school driver connection. Well, and maybe the occasional Jaaag.

Yep I agree.. that inline 6 turbo was what got me to buy a e series back in 2007.. they were one of the first to introduce a potent turbo engine to the masses.. i loved it.. but now everyone has caught up.. they do drive incredible though.
