Multiple child car seats in Stinger

Back in the day, we had 4 small children and a 15 year old 81 Impala. 3 front-facing child seats across the back seat and a rear-facing infant seat in the middle of the front seat. Times have changed a bit...
Lol where did your wife sit ?

In Uk, in my early childhood, seat belts were not compulsory and I can still remember sitting on mum's knee in the front passenger seat, no one in the car wearing seals belts....thank god we never had an accident  it's probably just good luck I'm alive today

We played roly-poly on the way to school in the back of an 87 suburban. If a vehicle had a 3rd row, seat belts were optional was our argument.

If you think about it, there's probably a good reason you don't hear from the people that DID have an accident.. skews the statistics just a little.

I lost a class mate in high school due to vehicle ejection in an accident.

What an odd conversation. If you cant get two car seats in the back of a car as big as the Stinger you should probably just buy transit van or something. Makes you wonder how people did it with larger families before everyone's beloved SUV was invented.

Well my other option is a Giulia, and after my sti I’m pretty certain that I’m not going to fit a rear facing car seat and a front seat passenger.... vans are for people who have given up on life(fun)

It's harder than you might think. Some carseats are HUGE.

Two seats and plenty of side room to put down arm rest. Plenty of leg room too tho I recommend seat-back protectors as the plastic on the back of the front seats scuffs easy.

I like the protectors hanging on the back of the front seats in the photo above. To protect against feet, food and whatever else may be emitted from the occupants of the child seats?

That pic was taken when I put them in, you should see them now after a few trips with muddy shoes. Fortunately they wipe down quick with water and a rag. Best $10 for the pair spent on Amazon. A must to avoid permanent damage. Kinda hard to see but also have seat protectors under the car seats to prevent leather chafing.

I went from a Legacy GT (similar rear size to the newer STI), and the Stinger has about ~3" more room than the STI. In terms of rear space it's comparable to our Lexus RX.
The thing most people don't realize about the Stinger is that the rear seat are VERY long. They are probably 2" deeper than most cars.
Unless you need the front seat fully back, there should be enough room for a rear facing seat. It may be a little tight, but that doesn't matter much. It's not like the kids are climbing into a rear facing on their own.

I’ll post a picture when I find it

I’m pretty sure that picture was the day we brought the little guy home. Wife had plenty of room with both seats. We’re both 5’11ish

Which Graco Booster is that on the left? I currently have one booster seat in the middle of the back row. I want to put two booster seats in my Stinger but my current Diono Monterey XT Latch's base completely covers the seat belt buckle when I install it on the sides. Does the Graco cover the seat belt buckle?

Love the pics! Looks great!

I've got two carseats in the stinger now, and just test fit 3. Yes 3 fit if you look for ones that are narrower - there are very expensive ones that are narrow, but we didn't buy those, we went with normal ones that happen to have more narrow specs. Here's the configuration:

Rear-facing behind driver, booster in middle and a front car seat behind passenger

We reverted back to the 2 car seat for the next 2mos until our 3rd baby is born - can take pics then if you like. 2 car seats have tons of room ...
We have three in our stinger as well- specific narrow seats (clek foonf) but need to transition one of those to a booster. what booster are you all using in the center?

It’s either the Affix or LX booster. Got a second one since they’re a good fit, no issues buckling in, comfy and look good.

I just bought a Diono Radian 3R All-in-One, (only using it as a booster), and it fits the side seats perfectly.
