Ok, we have a thread on fastest we have done, but, I am curious as to what everyone's best and worst mpg is. Kph for all of our non-u.s. forum family.
All of these have been taken on the same route to and from work, 39 miles round trip, obviously weather and traffic can't be controlled but are similar. I reset the gauge everytime, so here goes
On sport mode steady 55 mph with stop and go traffic for half the trip (each way) best was an indicated 23.2
On sport with fluctuating speed, big time fluctuating, 10.8
On eco, steady speed best was an indicated 29.6 (?)
Worst was 24.1
Yeah, I know, 10.8. I tried, really tried to get into the single digits.

LOL!! My best going to and from work, in Comfort, was an indicated 27-ish MPG. Usually I'm around 24-25 and I drive 65-75 miles round trip per day. Even leaving it in Comfort, I can drop to 19-21 if I put my foot in it.

Sport mode, never over 17-18 because it's to dam fun to piss people of in 'just a Kia'

Best tank so far, calculated, was 25-ish and that was a REALLY rough week to not try and put my foot in it. Full time in Comfort and ISG is ALWAYS OFF. I would be interested to see how someone fairs in Eco with ISG on for an entire tankful just to see how they do.

I alternate between Comfort and Custom (everything on Sport except Suspension) an usually drop it into Sport when anyone rides with me. Funny enough though, they always want me to drive for work lunches.

I do 28 miles a day, 7 a day of that is highway, rest is city. I'm getting about 21 right now which is better than the 19 the first tank. This is always in comfort mode with a bit of spirited driving here and there.

Friday I put 375 miles on the car between going and coming to work and a short road trip taken to a nearby city. Most of the driving was in comfort mode and I managed 26.8 mpg.

I don't normally pay attention to mpgs because I have habits that are horrible for fuel economy. When I go to the gym I sit in my car, with it running for 20 or 30 minutes before and after. I also sit in my car with it running at my job's parking lot, sometimes for hours while listening to the radio, reading a book, etc. (I work alone in a vault so no one notices when I'm gone).

I have hyper-miled it a few times and gotten it over 30 mpg on a trip.

Absolute best I did was this morning, which was a solid 34MPG indicated. It's a 37 mile drive that is about 28 miles of highway at 75 and 9 miles of city driving. Worse was when I took the I-10 out to LA 2 weekends ago. I think I barely average like 23 in comfort. But that was driving into a headwind and it's most uphill. Also going very briskly.

Otherwise I'm averaging a nice 27-28MPG between fillups with an almost even split between city and highway.

Nice! 3.3 or 2.0?

3.3, I'm really curious to see if anyone else has gotten results like mine. I know Phoenix is a bit unique since it's flat and at sea level, so cars tend to do far better here in terms of fuel economy.

Im currently on my first tank with a barely 5 day old Stinger Premium 2.0. haven't taken it off of ECO save for 1 or 2 quick bursts just for the thrill. Currently avg 24mpg but this is in stop and go traffic in Miami in the mornings and afternoons with about 5 miles of nonstop hwy miles. I would imagine without the super heavy traffic I could easily do over 30mpg in ECO.

I never hit 27+ on the highway, but it would help if I didn't have 40 idiots that treat the gas and brake pedals like on and off switches.

Oh and my fav, the infamous 'yeah i can shove my Excursi-buran-plorer for 40 kids i don't have but i think im cool 40 foot long "Stupid Ugly Vehicle" into this spot that a Prius won't fit in' at 70+.........

I'm surprised I haven't worn out the first set of brakes yet lol

I’m probably going to be at the bottom of this spectrum since my travel is 90% city and my daily round trip is less than 10m. I rarely get over 60mph but will admit I love getting their quickly.:DThe torque is so addictive I can’t keep my foot out of it, but I might as well enjoy what I’m paying for, right?

I’d say I use Sport mode half the time and Eco the rest with my best tankful so far coming in at 18.8mpg. My worst was 15.4, but that was my first tankful of :poop: 89 octane from the dealer. As for individual trips, I’ve gotten as low as 12.6(Sport & launch control) and as high as 28.3(200m Highway road trip).

Interesting observation while I was on my highway trip... In Eco my RWD will avg about 30mpg on cruise at 65-70mph, 25 from 75-80, and 20 at 83+. It was interesting to see the avg drop every few mph I changed the cruise speed. Aerodynamics and drag are more noticeable on this than was in my Optima and the Stinger seems to hit a wall of air over 82mph. If I tucked behind a truck I was back up to 30mpg.;)

I finally reached the break in miles and tried sport for the first time today. I think my gas mileage may suffer some now :)

Man, you guys drive like savages lol

300 miles on my GT2. It's 15.3 miles to work, all pretty much city driving and hilly (north Atlanta). I hit a new best this morning, in comfort mode with the IGS enabled (even though it makes me nuts because the orange "didn't come on" light freaks me out, it seems to add 1-2 mpg). I got 20 this morning, finally.

Haven't done any highway trips yet - weekend's coming up, though.

Will help to mention the engine you have. ;)

Careful.... drafting may get some mpg but will also get you paint chips on your nice car.

76 miles left with more than a quarter tank remaining. Wow, this car needs better fuel economy and a much larger gas tank.
In the car's defense it's nyc driving and a lead foot. I'll see what I can get when I take my annual 3000 mile road trip next month.

Best I've done is 23mpg, worst is 4.2mpg. I used the redline as a shift indicator for about 70miles of driving before having to fill up 15.3gal. Not that bad to be honest, I've done the same thing on my 1.6L juke while I had it and had gotten 5.4mpg with that tiny engine. Mind you that 1.6L was running 17 pounds so those injectors and fuel pump we're probably dumping borderline liquid fuel into the cylinders lol. Boost pressure can very quickly change everything in a motor, especially fuel consumption.

Depending on driving style and driving mode, MPG can range from 14mpg (spirited driving, usually in comfort with some usage of "sport") up-to 26 MPG, eco-mode with primarily highway driving. Average (mixed / daily use) is around 20mpg. It's not efficient as my old car (V4) but I got the GT1 for a reason -- fuel economy was not a big factor in that decision.
