Hi,

I thought I was buying the red "GT" center caps for my wheels, looks like it's just overlay emblems for the existing caps. From what I can tell the "E" emblem is the only full replacement caps you can buy. Has anyone else bought the overlays and applied them? How do you feel about the look of overlays instead of emblem swaps? The last thing I want is for my car to look like cheap on those little touches.

Can you tell it's just an overlay, I guess is the real questions.

I've had them on my Sorento for 5+ years now and other than the weathering, you can't tell unless you look really closely.

HOWEVER the Stinger center caps are quite "rounded" and the overlays I got from this site were nowhere near close to being a good fit, even compared to the cheap eBay ones I put on my Sorento years ago. They even came with extra foam tape to fill in the gap, which would have looked like crap. I can't say it would be the same with all of the products they sell, but that was my experience.

I ended up replacing the wheels, I might just cover their brand logo with carbon vinyl..

I had vintage K overlays on for about 9 months, and recently pulled them off and put on the white GT overlays. You can't tell they're overlays at all. they're thick and durable and look great. My only tip is to use heat then you apply them or the edges wont want to stay down. using heat, they'll lay perfectly and look factory

Had mine on for over 18 months and no issues with fit or fade and you wouldn't know it was an overlay unless you touched it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The key is to install them absolutely centered ...............take your time , I got mine from a European supplier 2 years ago ( red GT ) they still look OEM and are in great shape caps2.webp

I’ve had em for 3 or 4 months with no issues. Winter is the test. So far so good. They look great. So, it was a good purchase imo.

I purchased overlay badges for the front hood & back hatch. I’ve attached photos and prefer their look to the original Kia badge. They were also a lot easier to apply compared to having to remove the original badges.
