Hello all,

I’ve had the JB4 on my 2019 Stinger GT for about 15,000 miles now. Car is at 21,000. I haven’t ran into issues until recently. At high RPM, I’m getting misfires and loud pops from my exhaust.

I usually just run 93 octane.

- 15,000 miles on performance plugs
- Borla Catback
- BMS Intake

I’ve tried running it with tuner turned off and still having the issue at full throttle.

Today I wanted to log it, so I did on Map 1 and no issues. I tried Map 2 and it misfired in 1st & 2nd at top RPM again. I have attached the logs here.

Any help? @Terry@BMS

Thanks,

Steve

I'll say plugs, 15k is about max for "performance" plugs. Have you pulled codes yet to see what cylinder/s are misfiring?

Interesting, I’m a newbie with vehicles and this is the first car I’ve ever modded. Do we have a link or best direction to go when purchasing a new set of plugs and what they should be gapped at? Previous ones were Densos at 22.

HKS or Denso 5347 plugs are your best choices, gapped at .022. Most of the KIA tuning supply companies will have both, choose your poison.

Hopefully it's not a broken coil. Check for OBD2 codes to at least narrow down the cylinder if possible.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
