I installed the carbon fiber mirror caps. Took me about 5 minutes for each side. I’m not sure what I did wrong the second time around but now my passenger side mirror is stuck in a downwards position.

Has anyone encountered this before and can I fix this myself? Would this mod cancel my warranty? If not, how much would getting it fixed by the dealership run me.

Warranty on original owner or a CPO covers mirrors out to five years or 60K miles whichever comes first. But if you fiddled with aftermarket caps I have little doubt that KIA will say "you broke it".

This is revealing. Part isn't that expensive, but dealers add on all kinds of crap charges. Beware. Need to replace my driver side mirror assembly.
