I am not sure if I need a new high performance exhaust yet. But just researching now. I will be more interested in quieter sound (compared to other aftermarket exhaust) and bump in power with staying under legal emission limits. Looked at STILLEN, it seems like perfect fit for my needs. Any other one I should look at?

Choose carefully, some brands produce horrendous drone.

If I were you, I would consider replacing the "mid pipes".

A buddy of mine (who's into the cars as much as I am) noted that my Stinger GT had a nice exhaust tone (all stock) and almost enough volume. Remember that KIA fitted US-market Stinger GT with a louder exhaust system. This led me to think that replacing the mid pipes is probably all it needs for a street car. It's much cheaper and proven to bump power and torque per se; it is also likely to produce more volume (acoustically) with a small risk of getting booming/droning noise.

Now it makes me think if there would be a market for used US-market GT exhaust systems for a mild improvement on exhaust tone :D

I wouldnt bother with the mid-pipe I'd go for the SSR downpipes. They give a massive bump in hp/tq and delete the secondary cats giving you a nice little bump in volume.

When he says mid pipe he might mean the downpipes. I don’t under stand why ssr and jun Bl call it a downpipe it’s more of a mid pipe. Right off the turbo is the downpipe....

I don't understand it either. The way I see it is the down pipes contain the upstream catalytic converters and the mid pipes downstream.

Maybe they call the pipes right off the turbochargers something else.

Let us know if you have any specific questions about the different exhausts while shopping around.

We just started our Christmas/New Year's Holiday sale, which runs until the end of the year.

So it is one of the best times to buy and save on the purchase.

Took my Stinger to an exhaust specialist and you're right ,to help fix the terrible drone in my Ark grip exhaust he recommends changing the mid pipes, he's going to custom make one with 2 extra resonators. He suspects I'm also losing power with my current set up, which he felt un prompted. It's something I suspected myself immediately after the install. Dynamatting the boot reduced some drone but strangely it seemed to transfer the vibration to the console and front panel. Soon as they open after xmas I'm going in. Cost= $1200 AUD. Choose carefully folks. Down pipes - not sure if I need more noise though- what are the benefits.? - Merry Xmas.

Put the OEM one back on and get some cardboard for the wheels to make the same sound minus the drone! Lol

Can you tell me top 3 quietest of these?

I'd go with electrically controlled dump valves. Flip of a switch and you have the stock sound, flip it again and it's nice and aggressive. Best part is they will run you about 350 compared to 2000 like some exhausts.

I had this on my K900, and the dual setup, since there are (2) pipes, is around $700. Problem is, they tend to leak exhaust around the motor areas, and I had one of the motors fail after about 1.5 years of usage, and they only come with a 1-year warranty. Might as well go with an EVC exhaust setup which offers basically the same thing, but without just bypassing the stock mufflers.
