I just wanted to report that I am having to replace these on my RWD Stinger GT2 with 15k miles on them. They are pretty bald, I was surprised I passed inspection two weeks ago, it is obvious they did not look at the tires as there his no way they would have passed.

I put these on right after I bought it used with 12K miles on it. I am not a hard driver. Just wanted to let everyone know that it looks like some of these tires with higher mileage ratings are not going to get that much more life than the original tires. Of course you do get a mileage warranty on non OEM tires so I got some adjustment credit, but it is half the stated mileage due to the staggered setup.

I am surprised as I am an average driver, I rarely if every spin out, I guess this car just eats rear tires.

Which are yours? There are three types of A/S 3 available. One has 30K miles and the other two have 45K miles treadlife warranties (I have no idea how you'd determine the difference between those first two?!). Halved, you got what the warranty allows if yours are (Y) 30K miles. But you did say 3 and not 3+. So, maybe you have some warranty credit for not making it to 22.5K miles? Do your tires show a "V" or "Y" on the sidewall?

(Interesting, how, according to this list, the OE PS4 only have 20K miles; which, halved, means I got roughly 50% more out of my rear OE tires than the reduced/staggered warranty allowed.)

Are you changing only the rear tires? How does the wear on the tire look?

The RWD cars wear out the rears faster than the front. The tires had even wear and were between 1-2/32nds all the way across. My fronts are only about half worn. This would jive with the OEM tires it had wear the rear were gone at 12K miles and the fronts were about half worn.

I went to Pilot A/S 3 tires in an attempt to get a mileage warranty and longer tread life but he longer tread life did not work out that good.

Just had my 2019 GT! in for service at 14,000 miles I was shocked to find I need new rear tires. Like you I do not spin out....fronts look fine. I will not be replacing with Michelins......I had a 2018 Stinger gt and did not have this problem

Good luck finding a tire in this size that lasts longer. I don't think any of the alternatives are going to last much longer on the rear. These things eat rear tires, even the ones with high mileage ratings.

Howdy, and welcome. You got over half the 20K rating in the rear for a Pilot Sport 4. I got 14K out of my OE Michelin rear tires as well; and another 4K out of the fronts. I replaced them a year and a half ago with PS4S, which I believe will last longer.

I bought the AS3 tires which include a mileage warranty (half in my case due to staggered setup) and got a decent credit for mileage.

That tire was not available when I bought mine. I am curious as to how much of a degrade it is in performance and steering response VS a Pilot tire.

It's A/S, so noticeable I'm sure. My Nitto Motivo A/S UHP tires are grippy until you start to hear them "sing", at which point they will start to let go before a "singing" Michelin summer tire does. But this isn't a race. I drive the car as-is; and a high performance A/S is fun driving, just not quite as fast; but the butt dyno doesn't feel slower. Grip is what it is, and the Stinger with UHP A/S tires will get around a corner faster than most anything else, "passing fast, on the outside, man." :D

I had a little over 14k on mine when due to a large pothole I replaced all 4. Went with a General AS-05 and have been very happy so far.

Seriously enormous "pothole" (crater?) to take out all four tires at once. :P

RIght!!!??? Well not all 4. The front right had a hole completely blown out of the sidewall. The replacement tire was nearly 300 and they suggested replacing both fronts so 600 for two or a little under 800 for all 4 (with a higher treadwear rating) was a pretty simple choice.

I upgraded to a square setup 20x9 with 245/35/20 Michelin A/S 3+ on my RWD GT and it has already paid for itself. I had Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 45,000 mile tire and was able to get 40,000 miles out of the set because of rotation. Previously, same tire was only able to get 20,000 miles on a staggered stock setup. The RWD GTs just destroy tires. I am a very conservative driver and 20,000 was still the best I could get.

I've had General tires in the past and had very good experience with them. Most of their better models (anything we would use on the Stinger) get good tirerack ratings as well. Definitely will consider these once the OE Primacy need replacement.
