Hey guys, this past weekend I was doing an emblem swap on my 2019 Kia Stinger GT. The front I did perfect with just a hair dryer and dental floss. But the back I ended up doing with a heat gun and I over did it so warped the metal under the emblem :( So I’m considering two options…
1.replace the section with OEM and paint it.
2.using a seibon Carbon Fiber Garnish
3. Using a 2020+ replacement that does not have the Holes for the emblem like my 2019. But I’m not 100% sure it will fit on mine.

Can anyone confirm if the 2020+ Panel be compatible with my 2019? Thank you
Which option would y’all recommend?IMG_1903.webp

holy crap! no emblem is going to cover that warpage. and it's not metal, the hatch facia is plastic. it's too late to talk about it, but why did you abandon the hair dryer for a heat gun??

For the time saving :”(

I was able to find the OEM replacement for it non painted but I can’t find one that goes on the newer models. Does it differ in size and shape?

^^^I don't believe so. Even the outer dimensions of the refresh taillight assembly are identical across all model years. You just need a good body shop to match the paint and do the proper clear coat. Ima sure you are converted to the old adage, 'haste makes waste', now!

live and learn, factoring in the part & paint. I’m looking at around $400+ I think I’m better off just going with the Seibon Carbon Fiber Garnish, that will be around $750 but at least it will look nicer and not have to worry about matching paint. Thank you though
