Hey everyone! Was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem? So my Stinger has 1300 miles on her, and now is sitting at the Kia dealer waiting on a whole new electronic steering system that locked up on me when driving. Just simply made a right turn and the steering wheel would not go left again. After I got the steering wheel freed up, every time you turn the wheel right got a terrible moaning/grinding noise. I get the Stinger back this week and can definitely post some pictures on my bill when I get the car back

I haven’t heard of this issue before, sorry for your problem but I’m sure Kia will repair/resolve this for you without too much inconvenience to you.

Sounds bad, id say just hand me another car no one wants a potential lemon imo.

I, too, have not heard of this one till now. Sounds like a defect that will be sorted out through complete replacement. May everything work fine for you (and I hope that you are blessed with a good Kia dealer/service center; they are more common than the poor ones, but there are still way too many subpar Kia dealerships).

Yeah I was really shocked when that happened, I have had 2 different Kia products and never anything like this. I do have a great dealer/service center. But kinda thinking of taking this up with, but not really sure if it would go anywhere.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I think that it's rare and bizarre enough that Kia Corp. would want to know. Wouldn't hurt anything to get them involved if any difficulty occurs with the dealer/service center. (which it does not sound like will happen)

My steering rack and gear were destroyed in an accident and that part of the repair ran 3300 bucks. Once it's replaced they'll recalibrate it and perform an alignment but it likely won't feel the same to you. In my case, it came back to me feeling very heavy, regardless of the drive mode; comfort feels like sport used to, and sport is artificially heavy and requires more effort than before.

YMMV, though.
