Curious that they'd call it a press introduction, given that the press has already received test cars, and the publishing embargo was lifted weeks ago. That said, a search for "Kia National Press Introduction" indicates that other models have had the same introduction, and the press releases included official pricing and specs.

This was exactly what I did, and the first page of results was all of this year's release pages at KiaMedia. These seem to be an "official", common phrase. I also found another blogger: https://amagicalmess.com/2017/11/2018-kia-stinger-feast.html

Apparently this has been known to some people for the last month. I found Twitter references to a "Nov. 14th" [sic] event under the #StingerIsHere hashtag as far back as Oct. 5th.

Maybe I'm getting old, but reading that #StingerIsHere twitter feed was nauseating - all those lovey dovey superlatives, blah. Much prefer this forum's format to convey and share information, perspectives and ideas.

But, that twitter feed further confirms the event happening next week. The countdown begins.

"My manager just sent me text and said he got an email with the pricing of the Stinger. The good news is it won’t be long until we can order you one. I know it’s late but I figured you would want to know."

The red is starting to grow on me, but it seems like that's what most people will have if that's what they're going to be pushing. I'd rather not have the same color as most other people lol.

The red does look really good and that rear reflector blends in with it really nicely. But I don't want to have the same color as everyone else either. I think there will be a LOT of red Stingers...
