Is anyone running a 275 tire on the stock 19" wheel on the rear of your Stinger?
My "insight" is taken from here.@MerlintheMad thanks! Have had my Stinger for quite some time, but am finally getting around to doing some modifications. I appreciate your insight!
My "insight" is taken from here.I've seen many times that owners run 275 rear and 245 front, on OEM and aftermarket wheels. I have never run any size than OEM 225/255.
Nice first post. Welcome.although yes, you can probably run a 275, you may want to go down to a 275 30 to keep the wheel diameter nearly the same as stock
That said, on a RWD setup, a taller diameter from a 275 35 effectively changes the gearing slightly and helps with launching ever so slightly
I'm about to mount my second set of 275/30-19 on on the rears and already on my second set of 235/35-19 in the front. No complaints or issues.I just mounted 275/30-19 on my rears to use when the weather gets nice here in PA. I was concerned about the bulge but it looks fine. I haven't heard of anyone else running a 275.

Is fineIt's been about a year since the last post here. What do we think is the verdict on running 245s on the front stock wheels and 275s on the back? Is anyone having problems with this fitment?
Did the 275/40R19 fit?Moment of truth tomorrow...get to find out if this shop will throw these fat meats on these scrawny wheels!

2yrs later how are things looking?I will say this. I have my own tire changer and it was a bit of a bear getting the 275 on the rim. That being said, I am not special, and would expect any competent tire shop to be able to mount it.
I also come from the world of autocross where mounting wide tires on skinny wheels is common.

Did they fit?I just bought 275/40/19s Nitto 555r II for the rear. I hope they fit and someone will mount them.
Looking into getting the same sizes for my ride on OEM wheels. Still happy with your set up?View attachment 59019
