MAP sensor bad?

Hey guys. I’ve had my Stinger GT2 since February and have 29k miles. Today when I tried starting my car, it instantly started to bog down in idle and the check engine light came. The car really wanted to die on me. Checked the JB4 app and it said “Error getting JB4 firmware version. Defaulting to "Other".” I thought it was odd then I plugged in a OBD-2 and the issue says
Manifold Absolute Pressure / Barometric Pressure Circuit Low. I assume I either need to take off the MAP sensor and clean it or replace it depending what happens. My real question is would the JB4 not be working if the MAP sensor is bad? And my other question is if my diagnostic of the car is correct, why would a 29k mile car have a fault in the sensor already?

Update! I disconnected the negative battery terminal, cleaned the sensor but it didn’t look like there was much gunk in it. I reconnected the battery and JB4 still wasn’t connecting properly so I turned the battery back off and disconnected everything from the JB4. Now everything seems to be working correctly expect the back left door says it’s open when it’s shut ughhh… It seems to be an issue with the JB4 connection somehow I guess. Wondering if I should take my car to the dealership and get them to at least fix the door ajar glitch.

The engine won't run worth shit if either pressure sensor is malfunctioning.
MAP/TMAP sensors don't need cleaning. Really, don't do that. Any solvent sprayed into the sensor is more likely to hurt the circuit than help anything. MAF sensors - on rare occasion - can be cleaned, but not MAP/TMAP. Completely different sensor and different thing. MAF sensors have wires literally in the air flow. Oil/dirt in airflow can deposit on the wires, messing up their reading. MAP/TMAP just have a little hole exposing a flexible piece of silicon.

The JB4 intercepts both and replaces their signal with its own. So if the JB4 is unwell then yes, it won't run worth shit. Turn on the ignition with the engine OFF (press and hold the start button) and re-flash the JB4 from the app. It might be boogered enough to need the base firmware reloaded. Burger has instructions on their site for recovering a unit, or shipping it back to them. This can happen if you try to update the JB4 while the engine is running, or the car's battery dies while doing an update.
