Map 3 log using vp racing octane

Short pull in 3rd but log looks great, especially timing. ECU PSI seems a little low though. Maybe @Terry@BMS can weigh in....
I will say the octane you have is more than enough to hold that Map

Maybe psi is low because it’s cold outside like 35-40 degrees I also have secondary cat delete cai and borla catback

Cold air could have something to do with it. Most I saw on your pull was 11 psi, most peak 13ish+. I don't think it's an issue though. I would say you're safe to try a Map4 and post a lot. Like I said you're timing was perfect.

I’m going to do a log after work on map 4. I wonder if I install my ewg wires it would help getting to the right amount of boost but thanks for the reply brother I appreciate it

Well, I highly encourage those cables!

No where near as good as AWDGT2 at reading these (getting a lot better though) but that timing is some of the better I have seen in a while especially at that map. That is some helluva fuel! Bet it's not cheap.

Maybe it's just me(and my continued learning) but it seems that MAP 3 is the "make or break" map when it comes to getting things right. Folks either have it somewhat figured out by then (plugs, fuel, air in/air out) or they "crash and burn".....

Lol originally I put in 2 cans of vp racing octane booster found in autozone for 22.99 usd. Raised 8 points per 10 gallons and the rest with 93 octane from citgo which is top tier gas station. Then I went to go race my best friends bmw m3 competition 2016 beat him by a hair on map 3 then I ran it down to a 1/4 of a tank and filled up with 93 octane than sent the above log

@AWDGT2 wouldn’t the ecu psi always read stock values if u look at the log under boost 2 column I see as high as 16 17 psi

ECU psi is independent of anything JB has control of. Boost and Boost2 are charge boost and intake boost, most of the time they are near identical. They are reading a total of the ECU psi plus the target PSI set by the JB. 16-17 is a bit low, only because the ECU psi is low. Map3 is 6 psi over stock so on average you should be touching 18-19 psi on a good day. Again I don't think it's a huge issue and most likely due to cold temps. Remember, cold air is dense, therefore the car has to mix more fuel to get the proper ratio. More air and fuel is a replacement for boost to reach the same potential.

Alright brother sounds good thanks hopefully I start hitting target boost in warmer temps but I’ll be installing ewg wires in 2 weeks . I’m about to leave work in a few minutes will be posting map 4 log

Both map 5 pulls . The one log I hit a bump on the road traction control kicked in the other one is more solid

Map5 is definitely showing some larger timing variations, Map4 still looks good. ECU PSI seems to be a bit higher too. The AFR is a bit lean also, nothing to be concerned about but normally the JB pushes it to 11.8-11.9 and yours are 12.2 ish. Lean is good and that is probably due to colder weather also. I noticed your IAT's were in the 40's, which means it's low 30's or colder during these pulls. Things should level out once they warm up a bit. Stay in Map4 with the fuel you have and know that the car is happy there.
