I just got a new JB4, BMS CAI, and oil catch can installed. I filled my empty tank up with 5 gallons of E85 and the rest with 91 octane (no 93 in my state). The motor didn't fuss at Map 2 or Map 3 but the car didn't seem to have the ooomph I expected. What does the log reveal?

Didn’t have the oooooomph because of the ugly timing corrections. Did you gap the plugs?

The plugs have a gap of .22

You need to do a WOT run through at least 3rd - 4th gears. I’m certainly not the expert but I would definitely back off to map 2 do a better run and go from there. The log above isn’t very good.

That's interesting because I started at a dead stop, activated the log on the app and stomped the pedal all the way down until I hit 100 mph or so before letting off and stopping the log. I should have passed 4th gear although I'm not certain of it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Set the app to auto log at say 75% throttle. That way you don’t have piss around pressing a button when you just want to focus on stomp’in it. Also if you’re entering the freeway and stomp it you will get a log or anytime for that matter.

That's great to know! Thanks so much! I'll be heading to the hills with my old Bronco for the holiday weekend, so it won't be until Tuesday when I'll so that and post some more logs.

Terry got back to me after reviewing the same logs. He suggested I try 6 gallons of E85 next time and to disconnect the negative wire to the battery for about 5 minutes. So, I'll give that a shot.

I did spend some time driving it today and the car is more eager than it was without the JB4. In fact, I had a blast driving it with Map 2 and 3. (Terry also mentioned to only use up to Map 2 at my altitude of 5000 ft on the stock turbos) Maybe it all just needs ro grow on me.
