I bought a mando from ebay and when i try to connect to the app it asks for a 4 digit pin. I asked the seller and he told me to use 0000 but that didn't work. Is there a way to bypass this?

I thought the instruction booklet had the list of PINS it could be, but basically gotta go down the gamut of default bluetooth pins:
0000
1234
1111
8888
etc...

Which device and which version of the app are you using?

The entirety of the box it came in and the manual is Korean, but it looks like the model number on the did side of the box is TU6001010A.

Running Android 12.0
App version: 1.15
Firmware: 1.00

Also, the connectivity for the unit all went through the app, I did NOT add it through the OS like a regular Bluetooth device.

In that screenshot, are you connected to the ECS10?

I too have the same versions.
Android 12
App 1.15
Firmware - can't be seen unless I am connected to the ECS10

When do you get the password prompt?

***EDIT***
My bad. I read this as escblads was having the connection issues.
It appears Danielegov is the one with connection issues.

iPhone 12 Pro Max. 15.3, Mando app version 1.08. 2020 Kia stinger Gt2 3.3T. I have the manual it’s all in Korean but used an app to translate every page and i did not see any 4 digit code on there..

This person was on Android also but shouldn't matter since it still Bluetooth, but it looks like his was "0000" by default and it reset back to that even after he changed it. stingerforum(dot)org/threads/mando-sdc-eds10.22552/page-3

After you enter "0000", does it give a message saying that it's the incorrect PIN?

Are you trying to connect to the ECS10 using your phones bluetooth settings? You do not need to do that.

The connection is entirely handled within the app - hope that helps.

Was this problem ever resolved?

This is the internet, of course it was resolved. And like most questions on the internet, the OP returns to give us the resolution 2% of the time just so the same question can be asked again months from now.

Cool, I'll try that.

The circle of circles...

I hope someone can help me here, I'm having the same problem. Won't accept 0000 or 1234, previous owner doesn't recall setting a pin up or remember what it is.

Android
App version 1.23

Are you trying to connect through the Android Bluetooth interface?

I vaguely remember not being able to connect through the typical Android interface, but rather you need to connect through the Mando ECS app.

Hopefully this helps.

Nah, trying to connect through the mando app itself. Enter the pin and it tells me I have 2 attempts left. I've tried all the normal suggestions and nothing.

Yeah, I've only tried going in through the Mando app and tried every pin# combo I can think of.

What power source are you using for powering the ECS10?

I have never seen this (2 attempts left)...
Screenshot?

Well it looks like operator error. I tried it with the car running this time and it connected.

All good now, cheers for your help @ D..J.
