After checking the SSR performance website every day for a month, I found a narrow window to purchase the axle back. It went back out of stock the same day. Seems like only 1 other guy in the world has it right now. (probably not true, but there is little to no info about this exhaust). At $449, I had to give it a try. Its scheduled to arrive tomorrow and I'll be installing it this weekend.

I've only been able to find videos and threads by one person, and he also has the downpipes. I'll just be running the axle back for now. Will post an update on how it sounds and possibly some sound clips for anyone looking to buy one, if that's ever possible again.

I am looking forward to your postings. Especially regarding highway/cruising drone. I like loud acceleration but quite when I'm not getting on it - so to speak.

Lucky you as I was doing the same thing myself but couldn’t keep waiting and just got a muffler delete instead. Doesn’t look nearly as nice as SSRs but basically same thing and saved me some money.

You will love the extra HP, Maserati like aggressive sound and gurgles while decelerating!

Only drawback for me was the unbearable drone. I thought I could deal with it but it was just too loud & vibrated too much from 1500-2500RPM. I ended up adding Vibrant resonators which helped a lot but it’s still on the loud side.

Overall the axleback was a great inexpensive mod and with intakes it adds about 40whp! Enjoy and looking forward to your reviews and videos.:D

So... Installed the Axle back Saturday morning. The sound is great. drove about 100 miles over the weekend just to listen to it. It does drone a bit between 1600 and 3000 rpm, but its not too bad. So, the weekend was great with the exhaust.

Then I leave for work this morning... I'm starting to hear vibration in the car, which bothers me a lot. It was in the 80s over the weekend and it was only 45 this morning, so maybe the car being cold and lacking any kind of thermal expansion is allowing vibration? I'm going to make sure everything is tight when I get home today and make sure it's not my license plate vibrating.

If vibration cant be solved, It'll either be going back, or going on eBay. Time will tell. I'd hate to give up that amazing sound, but vibration is one thing I can't tolerate. I'm not a Honda civic driver :)

You could have worked something loose like the plate or something like that. Hope you figure it out.

Ok, an update.. Checked the bolts and all were tight. Then I put weather stripping between my plate and the frame, just in case that was the source. Didn't notice any vibration this morning. I'll consider that issue solved. However, I'm finding that for my commute to work and style of driving (hills and highway), the exhaust is just too loud. Around town, it sounds amazing. But when I'm spending a lot of time at 2000 RMP, its not what I'm looking for in an exhaust. I pretty much expected this, but I wanted to give it a try. You win some, you lose some.

So, with that being said, I'm looking to sell the exhaust. If anyone is interested, or you know anyone, send me a message!

How much you looking for shipped?

Well, considering they simply aren’t available and it was on the car for 3 days, I’ll sell for what I paid, $450. I’ll cover shipping (and get shafted by it) but that’s an acceptable loss I suppose.
