Installed the M&S G spoiler today. Lined up the bottom lip flush. Checked on it 1 hour later and the top ends had popped up. Reattached it so no stress or bending was required to fit the curves of the car. Holds much better now but the bottom of the spoiler curves up over the bottom lip of the hatchback. Doesnt look bad at all ... just wondering if anyone else has had fitment problems with this spoiler.20180517_150248.webp 20180517_150259.webp 20180517_150347.webp 20180517_150332.webp 20180517_150332.webp

This is exactly why I haven't tried to install mine just yet. Well, I need to get it wrapped/painted first, but fitment is a minor worry for me. Yours doesn't look bad at all.

When you say "reattached", you mean you pulled the whole thing off? Using 3m...does it come off that easy? I keep thinking once I put it on, it's pretty much on...I mean unless there is stress to certain parts and they pop off (like you said about the ends).

3m came off easy because the stress of bending the spoiler to fit caused it to pop up before the heat of the sun bonded it. After reattaching and letting it sit in the sun for an hour ... It's adhering very well.

I remember on mine it was the front of the spoiler not seating correctly. If you push it too much at the bottom the spoiler won't stick right but if you have too much space in the back the front won't seat right. Has to almost be perfect.

After all the hoopla ... took it off for good. The paint didn't match at all (did the group buy on this forum) and the look just looked too "tacked on" oh well ... to the next mod!:)

Just saw this post so I thought I would let you know about my M&S "G" type spoiler. It fit perfectly. No gaps...didn't have to make it conform to the curves of the car, etc. I will give you a tip that was given to me after I had an issue with the corners lifting in the airflow at high speed. Get two small squares of clear wrap( shop that did my CF wrap gave me some scraps) and place them at each corner so that they will be concealed by the spoiler when you attach it. They get a tube of 3M 08061 Plastic and Emblem Adhesive and place a good drop at each corner when you attach the spoiler. Works perfect to hold the corners down and the clear wrap protects your paint.
PS. The gap you see in this pic is gone, I had to remove it and reattach when the wrap shop "did me a favor" and attached the spoiler after wrapping it. If you need to remove it, be sure to buy 3M 4941 VHB tape. It is specifically made for plastic to paint applcations.

Didn't have any problems installing mine, fits really nice. However I will admit it is tricky to install.
What I did was mount the spoiler and mark the place where it should be attached.

Same here, I used blue painters tape. I then had a friend help me hold the piece so I could start attaching it on the bottom edge from the center outwards while keeping the top from touching. I then laid both ends down together simultaneously. That tape isn't too forgiving.
