Talk to the people at lozic and with the bolt on I have and oarts with the 1.6 bar tune he told me to try just e85 but kinda nervous to run straight e 85. I ran e55 and the car was so fast. Should I be worried running e85?

If you are going to attempt to try and run straight e85, you will 100% want to install the E85 sensor that BMS offers for the JB4, so that you can know the actual Ethanol content you have going through your lines. Lap3 is working on the same concept (Full E85) and has had success, but according to what they have posted, the car doesn't see any realistic gains when you get above e70ish anyway.

I know that lozic has told me that he has worked with Lap3 in the past and enjoys working with them, so its possible that they shared some data with him.

Take what I Just put in italics as speculation though, cuz lozic has not made any official statement on the matter.

Don’t think you can run full E85 on stock fuel system setup.

Yeah I think I am just going to run about 7 gallons of the "E85R" Then the rest 93 octane for this weekend. IDK what that would put me at but its a big race weekend and I just got my gopro Hero 10 with the car mount. I moved to this area a year ago and at first everyone wanted to race me. Now they stay away or tell them not to race me lol but I am going to try and get the stock hellcat to race first.

@Avant was able to run full E85 with CPI kit on his last G70. Currently able to run E65 on his new '22 or '23 G70 without the kit. I don't know of others that were able to get as high a content. Also, remember you can have 2 identical cars with exact same mods from exact same manufacturers, driven by the same person in the same day and have completely different outcomes. No rhyme or reason, just some ones off the assembly line react better or worse.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
If you are going to try it I wouldn't top off the tank. If it doesn't go good you'll want to have plenty of room to add straight gas. 2 cents

Yeah didnt go to well last night. I went with 7.5 gallons of E85 and 4 gallons of 91. when the night was over I put 4 more gallons of 91 and it ran so much better.

This is spot on. I was able to get up to E78 with the newest Lap3 tune and no CPI or Meth. Fuel trims were about 40 which isn't too bad. E65 with no CPI they are dead on perfect.

TBH anything after E60ish the data is all the same. Its plenty of octane for the tunes that are available for us right now.

That's pretty neat. If lap3 had different maps I would have shelled out for the tune a while ago. The ability to change maps with the driving mode selector or even the wiper/headlight stalk.

wtf i cant even run e30 with my 1.5 bar tune but can run e30 fine with the jb4... my fuel pressure drops to 8 when running e30 with lozic tune.. what does your fuel pressure drop to under wide open throttle?

great advice tbh!

@snei will check and see. I think I'm about e40 right now and it runs really good. But e50 or higher it falls on it's face.

Whats your guy's thoughts on the Lozic 1.5 bar or 1.6 bar. Looking at getting it, Not sure about the boost ready selection. Good or not? Also is anybody using the power by mode feature? Thinking it would interfere with the TCU tune.

I think that's too much psi for our cars. I've had a 1.4 bar from him and now have a 1.5 bar. Tune has been great, has 1 issue with an boost spike/overboost. I think 1.4 is really the sweetspot. I had gone up to 1.5 thinking that I would run wmi. Decided against that I purchased a CPI kit. 1.4 gave me 0 CELs or issues of any kind and was plenty fast. Ran 11.8 on just tune, intake, muffler delete. Didn't even upgrade to a summer tire. Oh and that was a shitty 1.87 sixty foot.

Running too much boost is never a great idea. 1 thing to keep in mind is that as great a car as we have. This car was not designed in mind with the idea that most that bought would be looking to push the performance high. It's evidenced by a lack of certain components in our platforms.

Also, as far as I'm aware there's not any discernable difference in times if you're looking at metrics like quarter mile or 60-130 times.

Remember too much boost and you start to lift the head and blow a gasket. Not fun.

Low boost, higher timing = faster. Boost isn't everything.

Has anyone sourced the compressor efficiency map for these turbos?

So your running the tune with the JB4 as well or is it a stand alone kit? Thanks for the info on the bar setting.

I only use the JB4 for logging. The ecu runs everything. If you run meth or cpi, you will want the jb4 and ecu to work together and use the jb4 for controlling the meth or ethanol.

I'm installing cpi in a week or 2, so I'll be changing how my jb4 is setup.
