I am very new to my stinger so maybe this is a newb question. Everytime I go to launch it I can only get it to 1500 rpm. I tried turning traction control off in many ways . Pressed the button once . Pressed it down for 3 seconds. Tried different modes . But no matter what I do it seems that it has a governor for launching whether in launch mode or not . Any ideas ?

sport mode. turn traction and stability control off. hard on the brake. gas pedal to the floor. It will say "launch control ready" in the gauge cluster screen. then you go. should be at around 2100 RPM.

Are you seeing "launch control ready" when you're on the gas and brake and then "launch control active" when you let go of the brake? if not, then you either missed a step, or something isnt working right.

The TC/SC button needs to be held down until it beeps twice; one beep means only TC is off, SC is still on. Stinger's launch is low RPM anyway, only a bit above 2K RPM. Why would you try different modes? We are told that only Sport mode works LC.

Can you change the rpm launch through a tune ?
Good question. I've not read of anyone on here doing a Launch Control style WOT acceleration at higher initial RPM with a tune. I bet that the LC protocol sets the RPM ceiling and a tune won't alter that.

It’s such a lame setting . Turbo cars need boost . These cars have a hard tune even spinning tire the settings are so low. I feel like we could easily launch at higher rpm before spinning

100K mile ten year warranty: Kia released this car well below its capabilities.

look up stinger brake snip mod. I think that will get you the results you're looking for

2022 2.5L engine launches at ~2600-2650 rpm using launch control. Verified :)

You can Brake boost without the BrakeSnip.

Just take out the Stop Lamp fuse and replace it with a Fuse tap, inline fuse holder and a switch.

Put in Drive, turn off switch (simulates fuse pull) and now you can brake boost. After you are done switch back on, turn Car on/off to clear dash lights and back to normal.

And obviously this would only be used on a Track.

Enjoy!
