lost some paint on front badge install. What to do

5E6638E9-6466-4F10-B1A3-1B02B145E516.webp Interesting I just did my badges, no heat and when the front badge came off I noticed NO adhesive or glue. Why you ask? Because the badge took a perfect oval shape of paint with it. . The new badge covered a good portion of it. My fear is somehow that paint just flaking away and the flakes spreading. I’m about to just put the factory badges back and return these because they aren’t exactly the same size.

Ooh....nasty
One good reason why I’m not doing mine. Looks a visit to the repairer is on the list.

Negative. I put the factory badges back. I actually like the Kia badges better once I saw the new ones.

Yikes man that looks similar to my situation. I too think the oem kia badge looks best but of course I bought mine used already rebadged. I’m considering make the switch back once I get the paint fixed.

How did you take the badge off? I'm changing my rear Stinger script back to a K badge since there are some scratches and gouges too deep to get out, otherwise the Kia badge came off without taking paint. The badge I ordered also comes with a front one, I'd like them to match, and posts like these make me concerned. My lesson learned from the rear badge is keep the painters tape on, right up to the adhesive, when using any plastic tools to get the middle section of adhesive. I used fishing line otherwise with no issue. Making me wonder if I should just get a pro to swap the front.

That looks awful.
You didn't stick the factory badges on over the missing paint!?
