Hello all I’m new to this forum I drive a 2019 2.0t premium I know should have went with the Gt. I was on a roadtrip to California from Utah car was running fine to California but right when I was going up hill in St. George on our way home I loss power to acceleration. No error codes can up on my cluster able to shift fine no leaks and fluids are good, not sure if it put itself in limp mode I tried turning car off for a couple minutes but still won’t accelerate, rev gauge will go up to 3000 and higher but no power car is fully stock while in park I tried reving to see if I can hear any abnormalities but my car sounds like it has an exhaust coming from right side where turbo is Not sure if turbo. Old be stuck open or not spooling

Sounds like turbo system failure. A NA 2.0L Stinger is going to feel doggy. Time for a diagnostic. I have a 2.0L Premium too, same year. What color is yours? Ima in Utah as well. By the way, in "P", the RPM will not go above 5K, it's a protection thing so I've been told.

It’s the pearl white and it’s strange was running fine until we went up steep mountain but nothing that it couldn’t handle before. Then acceleration was very poor pedal to floor it wouldn’t go passed 50 but revs will still climb. I kept it in a higher gear so I don’t blow the motor in case it was a mechanical failure

Sounds like you have a big boost leak. Maybe a coupler blown off the intercooler or something, I'd have a look under the hood and at the intercooler and see if you can spot a coupler brown off or something.

Hey I want to say thank after getting it home I dove deep into the problem found I over boosted and blew the hose off from the intercooler after getting re seated and tightened down problem went away

Hey thanks for your inputs after getting car towed home, Dove deeper into the issue and found when going up the mountain I over boosted and blew the hose to the intercooler off after reseating the hose and tightened the coupler issue went away

I just love, inexpensive, FREE, happy endings. What part of Utah do you live in?

No problem! Happy it was a simple fix!

If it happens again you might want to get your blow off checked, it might be the reason for the over boost.

I know you fixed this but this statement has me perplexed. I figure you just mis stated something, because if the revs would climb but the car wouldn't change speed that is a completely different issue than a turbo.

I did make a mistake the revs were going higher because I was going uphill. But after I got to level ground revs would only stay around 2000. But because I was still on the mountain it was trying to go higher
