Hi all,

I'm im the market for a car and the Kia Stinger has been a longtime dream of mine.

Good 1-2 owner, no accident Kias are going for around 20-30k in my area (South Florida), and the mileage for most are around 80-90k for 2018-2020 and 50-60k for the newer models.

There's one 2018 Kia Stinger Premium that's certified pre-owned that's sitting around 18k, good service history, and no accidents. Should I go for it? If not, what are you guys trading in and going for instead?

Just hoping to find some key insights on owning a Kia Stinger this late in the game.

Stick with the V6 if you can. You won't regret it.

I got a second Stinger, a '19 Premium, CPO, and I don't regret it. Other than WOT or close, there is no practical difference as far as maneuvering in traffic, fast accelerations go. On the freeway/highway, same thing. The car, either engine, will effortlessly take you above 80 MPH if you aren't watching out. What Ima saying is, torque is the feature of both engines, four or six cylinder. If you engage the kickdown switch, that's when the horsepower advantage of the 3.3L or to a lesser degree the 2.5L shows itself.

All depends on your expectations. If you want a boat load of power, get the 3.3T. If you're shopping for a nice daily driver that handles like a proper RWD GT car, the 2.0T is an excellent choice, especially if has been sitting unloved for a while and the dealer is eager to deal.

We bought our '19 Base model right after car dealers started to open back up in 2020, after the worst of the pandemic. It was barely a year old at the time, practically brand new, with a price tag that was too good to pass up. For me, the 2.0T was a perfect replacement for my beloved '09 Genesis Sedan 3.8L, which made 264 lbs-ft of peak torque at 4500RPM. Stinger 2.0T makes 260 lbs-ft TQ from 1400 to 4000 RPM, and it weighs less. The old Genny wasn't a fire breather, but it never felt under-powered to me in 9yrs of driving it. The Stinger with stock suspension is just as quiet and has far better driving dynamics.

If that CPO 2018 Premium with 18k miles is a 1-owner car, it was probably somebody's garage queen. Might have stayed stock and lived a pampered life. You'll need to check it out to know for sure.

The 3.3 Litre twin turbo six cylinder Stinger is about the hottest car around. It will blow the doors off just about anything.

It's so powerful it's dangerous..............

But if that's what you are looking at then buy it..
