I have a 2019 3.3 twin turbo completely factory and looking to replace the exhaust. I would like it to have a nice rumble at idle and sound louder when you get on it but not something that "drones" at highway speeds. I have a BMW M240 that the factory exhaust is exactly what I am looking for in sounds. Soft rumble at idle, nice audible when you get on it and no droning sound at consistent highway speeds. Just reaching out to my brothers on here looking for suggestions. Thanks in advance :)

Looks like you wanna leave it stock than. You can replace secondaries for little bit more sound, without bringing any drone.

Hey @chroniclifter,

When it comes to modifying the exhaust system on a 4 or 6-cylinder car, drone is almost a guarantee.

One of the best things you can do to combat drone would be to add additional resonators. One of my personal favorites, and what I suggest getting, would be the MBRP Pro-Series Catback Exhaust with the optional Resonators. I can help you with a little discount on this kit as well. You can reach out for more info or purchase this on our website here:

Hey Brendan, do you know if the 2.5in pipes are larger than the OEM?

I’ve had 2 stingers and many different exhaust setups on the first one (MBRP with and without tips, MBRP + downpipes + tips, Borla with and without tips). The one I went back to when I bought my 2nd stinger is the MBRP without tips. It’s much better than stock, especially when you’re getting on it, but no drone. I’ve done probably over 25,000 miles between the 2 with this setup and I’ve never had an issue with drone or anything else. And if for some reason you find that it drones, add tips and it will sound stock inside.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Simple answer is yes if you are talking about the outlet size. As stated by @87and66 your best chance of no drone without tips is the MBRP. Just my opinion

It's a great time to purchase MBRP as we are doing an additional 15% off this week starting Monday. 11-18 for early black friday sales
