Hello everyone,

Last week I purchased a used 18' GT2 AWD with 40k miles. I plan to buy the JB4 tuner, as well as upgrade the intake and check/change out the spark plugs, also looking at new brakes and rotors within the next month or so.
I'm looking for general advice in order to prepare for those upgrades, as well as general maintenance and problem areas. I have been reading through some of the forums and have noticed a lot of mixed opinions and I'm not too sure which topics I should be focusing on at this point.

I'm coming from a tuned 18' civic sport so this is a major performance upgrade. I work as an industrial maint tech so I'm fairly knowledgeable on systems and how they work together, but I'm here to learn about the car and make sure I'm doing things in the right order.

Please provide links for recommendations/other topics. Again I'm here to learn so I can make some informed decisions on future upgrades and I look forward to any and all suggestions.

Howdy. Welcome. Mods: I'm bone stock other than sway bars, so, hah! :D But read quite a bit on here, even some modding stuff from time to time. The "correct order" is the one that starts with your priority interest: there is no "do this first" about it.

Thanks Merlin!
Which sway bars did you decide to go with and how much of a difference have you noticed?

vvv (signature ;)) Big difference. The faster you go with this car the more planted it gets, but at normal cornering speeds (normal being "spirited" driving of course, but nothing dangerous) the stock sways allow the back end to step out and there is hop if the road imperfections get the car going up and down: handling feels unsettled, but actual handling is good, i.e. not risking losing control. This car when pushed in the curves naturally has some oversteer, and it's made more pronounced with a rear sway bar upgrade: but that alone will settle the read end (no more stepping out and the hop is once, not yoyo). A year and a half later I put the front aftermarket bar in and goodness it changed possibly even more than the rear bar alone: the oversteer is gone: steering is consistent throughout, and the body feels flatter when cornering hard. Ride? I didn't notice any change in comfort quality when I put the rear bar in (on soft setting, both bars); and adding the front bar likewise did not increase harshness; but that is probably because I always ride with the suspension in Sport mode (I drive 99% of the time in Custom) and so I expect a firm ride.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I just ordered the BMS short ram intake, and Denso one-step hi performance plugs. I noticed someone on here was selling a 3D printed snorkel for significantly cheaper than the aftermarket ones so I might look into that. I'm looking at stop-tech brakes but might do more research before I pull the trigger (car came with the infamous pulsing brakes). JB4 will happen once I'm sure the engine is solid, since its used I'd like to make sure first.
