Looking at getting a Thunder gray 2020 Stinger Limited here in Ontario, Canada as they have some real good deals on the 2020 now that the 2021 are starting to show up at the lots!

Just a few questions.

Has anyone got fairly high mileage on their car yet and any high millage concerns?? I put on a lot of km and likely will have around 200,000km before I get another car I plan on keeping the car for 5 or 6 years and drive between 40,000 and 50,000km a year.

Noticed most are only putting catch cans on the PCV passengers side? no oil coming back on drivers side CCV?

Also anyone had issues with warranty with just a catch can? Never had a Kia before always owned Mazda's and they were always good with mods.

Howdy and welcome. 37K miles and 30 months in. No issues at all.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! :)

Welcome to the hive!! mods seem to be a very dealer dependant thing, so ask around to different dealers.
Merlin was an "early adopter" and there might be a few higher mileage ones out there.. but I think that you can rest easy know the exact same car has a 10year warranty in the USA... Where in ON are you?

So I got my Stinger back in January from Orangeville back in late January 2020 with 15,000km and now it is sitting a little over 54,000km.

Everything seems to be running well mechanically, however, after hitting around 40,000ish kms, it started to develops the infamous sunroof arm rattle at random times. If you park your car out in the really hot weather, the plastics in the headliner begin to pop and crack when going over bumps. When it’s cool it doesn’t happen though.

There is also a clicking noise in the steering column when turning the wheel sometimes, I’ve heard it’s from a plastic bushing or cap in the column that is rubbing and it should be an easy fix. Also, the entire body of the car flexes. When you pull into a drive way or hit a bump going uphill, you can hear the entire body of the car creaking.

Those are some things you should watch out for once you get higher up into the mileage, especially since you will be driving ALOT, like I have each year.

I'm considering a 2018 GT2 AWD with 92K (highway mileage supposedly) for $27k. I haven't inspected the car yet but the dealer claims it is clean. Is there any reason I should walk away? I've been combing the forums and Youtube but don't see many high mileage Stingers. I don't have any experience with KIA/Hyundai. thx

Howdy and welcome. It all depends on what kind of miles; but at this early stage, I'd suspect/hope tons of open highway/freeway. Those would be easy miles; the only downside being that the warranty is about used up. But you can probably get an extended warranty if you dicker. I don't know if $27K is a high price or not; these days, used Stingers go for fairly high prices; the market is weirded out by the Pandemic, I reckon.
