Got my car June 14th , other than a couple trips to AC and couple rides to work , I havn't drove the Stinger much. I have 901 miles on the Odometer. I havn't drove the car in 2 weeks. It is parked in the garage. Just paid my 3rd payment of $569.89 on a 36 MO lease. I don't want to drive it when it's too HOT, don't want to park it in the SUN, don't want to drive it when it rains, WHAT GIVES HERE !!! I been driving my 03 Accord with 22!K on the odometer. Someone get me out of this FUNK. I do not plan on BUYING this car at Lease END, Just go into a new one so why AM I caring so much. Yes I know based on my last 5 years of driving , my annual miles is about 19K a year. so I need this BEATER CAR.. Professional help here, am I being ANAL!!!
 
Snap out of it junior! It's a lease, you get to beat on it as much as you want and turn it in when your done for a new one. It's just a lease, it's the dealerships problem if you park it in the sun, or it gets rained on, etc. etc. It's a pretty great deal as long as you keep the mileage under the limit.
 
Why pay for a car you never use?

That's like paying for a vacation that you never went on.

Leases are great if you never intend on keeping the vehicle.

Leases are great if you never intend on keeping the vehicle.
Leases are great, if you want the rebate knocked off the MSRP right now. Kia's incentives to lease are very good. But you have to buy out the lease in order to make them work to full value.

Leases are also great if you want a much lower monthly payment.

And when you turn the car in it had better hold up to its projected resale value or you are going to get slapped with extra lease end costs.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the 'projected resale value' is locked in with a lease, no matter what the actual resale value might be at the time. That's one of the benefits of leasing.

Extra lease-end charges come into play only if there is damage to the car, or the tires are worn out, etc. ... anything other than normal wear and tear. So if the bottom drops out from under the Stinger market and your car is worth only half what was projected (aka the residual value), it's Kia's problem, not yours.

I've leased just about every vehicle first, converted to purchase later if I decided to keep it. The only exceptions were my truck, which I knew was a permanent addition, and the 2015 Sorento I replaced my totaled 2011 with.

I've not babied any of them, but I also treat them as my own in terms of wear, tear and care. Never had an issue on turn in - although I think one time I got dinged for tires, as I didn't realize they needed to have X amount of wear left..

Difference between "babying" and thoroughly using is nothing like the difference between thoroughly using and trashing.
 
Well another QUESTION, would you valet your Stinger down at an Atlantic City Casio. ??? I went last night in the Honda and didn;t care about Valet at the Ocean club. The 2 trips I made to the Casino in the stinger, I made sure I took up 2 stalls . It may sound like I am a DICK but if you ever parked at Tropicana you know everybody takes up 2 stalls they are so tight. @ Borgata, I surface park way out there in a corner where no one parks. I will drive it today JUST BECAUSE!!!

Highly recommended tactic. Do anything you can to put the odds in your favor. And the walking is good for you. And, the time to slow down and reflect is also good for you. People who are always in a rush make parking mistakes, including parking as close to where they are going as possible as top priority: which is putting their precious car directly in harm's way.

I don't valet, period - I've had a vehicle sabotaged (coins in CD slot), dings, and most importantly have weapons that I won't leave in their care (or lack thereof.) Usually in valet-only locations, I just park considerately and ask if they are going to take responsibility for them.
