I have a 2019 Kia stinger gt RWD and have tried to activate launch control many times.
I have had the car for about 3 months and still have yet to get launch control ready to pop up on the dash. I have followed step by step but it always turns into a 30 ft burnout.

What I did
1) turned off traction control and stability control (held the button for ~5 seconds)
2) put the car in sport mode
3) depressed the break fully
4) depressed the gas fully
5) let off the break and held down the gas

Is this a driver error or something I will have to take in to get fixed? I have looked for other peoples stingers doing this but haven’t seen anything yet.

Do you happen to have all season tires that maybe cant hook up very well? As far as I can tell you're doing everything right. Have you tried it with just hitting the TC button instead of holding it down and see if that changes anything?

Yes I have and the launch control doesn’t come up on either of them , and the tires I have are very sticky

From what it sounds like you might have to make your way to the nearest Kia dealership cause its probably some software issue? :/

Are you sure you are getting stability control off? Traction control goes of quick, then hold down the button for a while until you see the Stability control go off. two different orange indicators will show up ion the cluster when they are both off. brake also has to be down tight. Gas has to be on the floor completely. I have a GT2 so maybe different message, but I'm guessing you would see Launch ready come up in the center screen.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Make sure stability control is actually off. Hold the button down until you hear and see the icon for it. And brakes, and gas have to be fully down.

When you do it right you'll get a notification and the car will squat.

If you do it correctly, then you should hear it chime again, and the display will put up a message "Launch control active". If you don't get this, then you aren't in launch control for some reason. Once in launch control, I think it will only let you stay in it for a few seconds.
The only thing I do differently is I put it in sport mode as the first step.
Some things that will prevent launch control are transmission temp too high, or if the brake light fuse is bad.
