Hey everyone, I just purchased a 2019 GT2 with 29k miles. I'm very excited in the potential of the Stinger. Can anyone with the lap3 1.5 tune, running only 93 octane tell me about the overall improvement and if it's worth the 2k price point. The car is an everyday driver. My wife will be driving most of the time so I don't wanna have to do any fuel mixes, only sticking to 93. I want a noticeable diffrence in performance, and don't think $2,000 is crazy. I see most people with a lap3 2.5 tune. So anyone with experience with the 1.5, please share your experiences. Thanks!

Welcome to the hive! - I can't comment on your Lap3 question, but I think you will want to look into the JB4 - it will let you change maps to suit the occasion

Welcome. Quick up in power and easy maybe a pro tuner. There are 2 right now in the classifieds section. And 1 is a steal w/o a doubt. And easy out for dealer stuff. The Jb4 has agood rep too.

Welcome. Moved this discussion into our LAP3 support forum.

Hello. I’ve had both the JB4 and now the Lap3 1.5 ECU.
Best bang for your money is the JB4.
Lots of used one for sale all the time. Bluetooth with fuel wires should be in the $500-$600 range.
Map 2 on 93 Oct is a night and day difference, drom stock.
Perfect for a daily.

Now if money is no issues, of course a ECU would be better. It’s smoother and more power, car just wanna pull.

Only reason I went with the ECU is b/c I won the ECU.
If I didn’t have won it. I would not have gotten the ECU.

Both would still need to change out the spark plugs.

You would have to ask yourself what you wanna do with your Stinger and the cost/benefits.

I’ve dyno my car to compare the two on E30 on the same day. 2 runs each.
To the wheels.

JB4 map 4
451/474
446/489

Lap3 1.5 ECU
478/522
482/524

Full bolt on besides primary and secondary downpipes.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Thanks for the reply! Only using 93, did you notice a huge diffrence between map 2 with the jb4 and the ecu tune?
