Actually I believe they started in the santa Monica mountains then moved to the Malibu / Palisades area from thereI get that. So the Palisades fire starts first yesterday, and the winds are blowing toward the Pacific, and the first fire starts fires to the east and north?
This is the worst I have heard of in over half a century. The number of separate fires all at once makes me suspect arson. We have too many terrorist cells forming in this country from military age illegal aliens.
Is that a Stinger?

The reporting has the Palisades fire as the first one. Besides, the wind direction is east to west, and the Santa Monica Mountains are downwind.Actually I believe they started in the santa Monica mountains then moved to the Malibu / Palisades area from there
Ima not throwing names around. Are you saying that arson is ruled out? If so, why?Really. Throwing in some good old Trump Logic to who started the fire? And do you really thing those in the Palisades own a Stinger. Looks more like a Tesla Model Y.

You throw out arson, then military aged illegal aliens. Were you not trying to make an unsubstantiated connection? I'm not pulling out anything. The land is extremely dry making it prone to lightning, cigarette , campfire embers, open pit fires in the back yard, sparks, so on and so on. Not once did "military aged illegal aliens" ever cross my mind. Why don't we let the professionals figure out the root cause. And I'm not talking Trump and his idiot kid trying to link the war in Ukraine to the fire or others talking about DEI and not enough white people in the fire department. WTF!!The reporting has the Palisades fire as the first one. Besides, the wind direction is east to west, and the Santa Monica Mountains are downwind.

The feature of the burning car in the OP picture that makes me question "Stinger" is the shape of the RR taillight assembly cavity, which would suit the Tesla's taillight shape better. Your probably right. But are you denying that regular people living there would find the Stinger a fun, relatively inexpensive "beater" car?
It is inarguably dry and the high winds this time of year make fires spread and harder to contain. If you know of another year when this many fires broke out almost simultaneously in LA, please share. I haven't heard of this level of fire threat in LA before. Henry Winkler just said, "there is an arsonist here in LA", and the police said "no reports of arson have been filed." But they are investigating for arson in Palisades. The arson fears are inevitable. Most wild fires start that way.You throw out arson, then military aged illegal aliens. Were you not trying to make an unsubstantiated connection? I mean, the videos I've been seeing are the "professionals" stating that their highest priorities were making their firefighting force less white, spending their time and budgets on pride events, and sending equipment overseas...Why don't we let the professionals figure out the root cause. And I'm not talking Trump and his idiot kid trying to link the war in Ukraine to the fire or others talking about DEI and not enough white people in the fire department.
These tragedies bring out the worst in politics. This is the worst I have heard of in over half a century. The number of separate fires all at once makes me suspect arson. We have too many
From what I've read and it took all of 5 sec to do a search the man arrested is a homeless guy with a blow torch trying to start a fire and was taken down by citizens. There is NO evidence yet to suggest he started any of the fires even though the title of the article suggests. Only people who can determine this is the LA Arson squad. So I stand corrected. There has been someone (maybe more than one, hard to tell right now) apprehended who they believe started a fire. Not saying all of the fires were started that way. Obviously we still have to wait for the investigations. I have some friends and family in the area who also believe some of the fires were set deliberately but they admitted they have no proof of it.
Either way jumping to conclusions and immediately assuming who's to blame only causes more problems than it does solving them.
Yeah was just reading that just a few minutes ago. It's one reason I was a bit apprehensive about stating whether or not he was being charged with anything and just said he was apprehended. Been hearing plenty of people say they THINK they're being set by people but there hasn't been any proof yet. From what I've read and it took all of 5 sec to do a search the man arrested is a homeless guy with a blow torch trying to start a fire and was taken down by citizens. I expect that, as in past cases, while the original fire may not have been maliciously set, there are likely people taking advantage of the chaos to make it worse. I'm sure the rabid activism and resentment politics there aren't helping...There has been someone (maybe more than one, hard to tell right now) apprehended who they believe started a fire
