PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!
So these are just the filters that fit and are direct replacement for Stock filters in the same box ?
Not the large cone type ?
I have the regular ones to fit in O.E.M box.. I actually recommend this type to anyone who doesn't have yet.
I don't like the large cone type.. I still this that type is prone to some air being hotter air from engine, where the drop in to factory box is locked in and only direct air from the intakes get thru it, and not as hot air.
I don't have any stats to which way gives you more HP or Torque. But for the simple cost of doing the reg. filter swap, I think it helps enough, and help a bit with fuel economy, from my experience doing it this way with last 3 cars.
I have mine in, but never made it to the drag strip with factory filters, so I can now compare times with the K & N..
Technically, they're likely helping by 0.1 - 0.2 secs. 1/4 mile, from seeing others do before and after reviews on these filters.
