• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

King springs

Hey all has any one got lowered king springs for their stinger?

Thinking of getting some. The rears are progressive rate design.

Cant find much info on them.

KIA STINGER V6 TWIN TURBO - SEDAN 2017 - Current - Fit your Vehicle - King Springs Automotive Aftermarket Springs
Went to enquire about Eibach springs and all the local Western Sydney suspension specialists want to sell me Kings springs, they say they're better suited to Australian conditions. Decisions-decisions ??

Can you let us know how much it lowers the car, I did the same on my SS a few years ago & it levelled & lowered the car approx. 25-30mm, car sat nice but I then had to be careful of parking stops as the front splitter would catch & damage it.
So I am wary of doing my Stinger, also interested on how it rides & affects the suspension settings. Good luck hope all goes well on the change over.

Installed the Kings, rears were very easy and the fronts weren't 2 bad except some of the ball joints were very hard to separate and one side I couldn't get it out but still managed to get the strut out.

Also had some koya custom 19inch rims I put on with sport contact 6's

Rear 10.5 +48 offset 295 30 r19
front 8.5 + 34 offset 245 30 r19

AAlso a big difference in weight at least a few kg each wheel lighter

Measuring from the center caps to fender

Rear 388 mm to 367mm
Front 388 to 365mm

I am not after a huge drop but I think It may drop a bit more as it settles and still need to get a alignment. I wouldn't mind the front dropping a bit more as my tires are 9mm smaller than the stock diameter and don't feel the wheel well as much.

It also rides and feels great not to firm at all and less body roll as the kings are a progressive rate design in the rears.

A few pics. Will upload some better ones later in the week.20180812_114740.webp 20180812_114800.webp 20180812_143615.webp

Looks nice, keep us posted on the settling in & how it rides......

Goof stuff Jesse, gives us a good idea of the lowering and what 10 spoked wheels look like. I'm tempted to go 15 spoke in black, I umed and arrd on which spring to go, I'm expecting a delivery of Eibach springs either today or tomorrow.

That looks really good. Got any shots from behind to show off the new stance?

Just keen on peoples thoughts...

I'm tossing up between the Eibach springs and King springs. I can get the King springs supplied, installed and laser wheel alignment for $770. The rears are customised to be a little softer than the standard King springs (well that's what the mechanic has told me).

Or I purchase the Eibach springs online and just pay someone to install them.

Any thoughts?

Do you want to lower the car or want it to ride/corner better?

Lower is first preference. If it improves handling then great, but don't want it to be a rock hard ride though.
Had the king springs on my Rex no complaints there. I went the eibachs. If as you say its for lowering the kings should do fine, they are made to aussie conditions. I couldn't go pass the eibachs due to so many positive reviews here.
