Hey guys so I am looking into buying a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 Demo with 3,000 miles on it and was driven by the GM of the dealership for a few months. Im looking to lease and they came back with 5 grand off MSRP plus govt fee 500 and Doc fee 1,000 and total cap cost of 49,000 minus 7,300 lease cash. My lease payments would be 540 with 2,000 down is this a good deal or no??

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You have to give us more information than that. Is this 2 years or 3 years for the lease? How many miles per year? What is the MSRP? Also what is the breakdown of the $2,000? Is that a cap cost reduction or paying for the lease fees?

Hey Travis. Yeah MSRP is 51,205, Lease Term for 3 years 10,000 miles. 2,000 I was going to put down towards the OTD price.

51,205
- 6,205 Dealer discounted
= 45000
Then
499 govt fee
1019 proc/doc fee
47,723.
total cap cost then jumped to 49,899 didn't understand that?
49,899 then minus 7,300 lease cash.
42,599 OTD

With the numbers you gave I get $472(without tax) a month for 36 months if all $2,000 you put down goes towards cap cost reduction. They are probably charging you extra interest by padding the money factor.

$45k + $1,500 should put the initial cap cost at $46.5k not $47,723. Maybe the jump up to almost $50k was tax?

At $540 plus $2,000 down I would walk away and find another dealer. $470 to $500 should be your target depending on tax if they give you an honest $6,000 dealer discount which a lot of stores are willing to give now.

May I suggest you look into buying it instead of leasing it? You can get zero percent interest for 66 months and in some cases you can get the RWD GT2 cars for less than $44k out the door. At that price you will be above water on the car almost right away. With the lease you have to pay the really high interest rate.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
