Hello everyone,

I have a few questions regarding my Kia Stinger GT that I hope some of you can help with.

Firstly, I’ve noticed that when driving at speeds around 170 km/h, and especially above 200 km/h, the wind noise inside the cabin becomes quite loud. I’m wondering if this is a common issue with the Stinger or if there are specific aftermarket parts or modifications available to reduce the wind noise at higher speeds? Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, I’ve encountered some audio delay when using Bluetooth to play media. It seems like this could be due to an older or weaker Bluetooth version in the system. Does anyone know if there’s a way to improve the Bluetooth connection or even upgrade it to minimize the audio lag? Any advice or solutions would be very helpful.

Lastly, I often take long trips with my son and was wondering if it’s possible to play videos on the Stinger’s display. Are there any options or workarounds to make this happen? It would be great to have some entertainment options available for passengers during longer drives.

Thanks in advance for any insights or suggestions!

I can't address your media questions. But heck no, there should be no "wind noise" in the cabin at any speed. Not sure what you are referring to actually. Whistles, whooshing, what exactly?

I don't find the Stinger particularly loud, even on the highway at ~80mph / ~130kph, but 170-200kph is 105-125mph which I'd expect to be noisy in anything that didn't have a couple hundred pounds of triple layer glass like an S Class...maybe bump all your windows fully up and make sure there's nothing caught in the sunroof.

As for the audio, are you only transmitting wirelessly, or using bluetooth while plugged in (Android Auto)? Try the latter if you haven't, I don't have any issues with it.

For video playback I believe you need one of those "AI box" devices that runs its own Android instance. The cheaper wired-->wireless Android Auto converters are a cat & mouse game using apps that port youtube etc. into AA (AAAD/Carstream), until Google blocks them at the next Android update. As of Android 14 I believe those are broken.

Regarding the audio sync with BT, the delay is significant.

This is my go-to video for adjusting the delay which can be adjusted on my phone (Galaxy S23U)

When connected to any Bluetooth device, my phone has a "Bluetooth metronome" built into the volume submenu, which allows me to sync the audio to the video.

Notably, this delay exists when playing video on my phone and audio through Bluetooth (or Wi-Fi with Android auto).

This delay does not exist using the super low bandwidth/quality audio VOICE CALL. Voice calls have minimal/standard delay (negligible).
And any delay using only music audio (Spotify or equivalent) is irrelevant, since there is nothing to be out of sync with.

For those who don't think they have an audio delay, play that YouTube video on your phone with audio through your Stinger...

Here's a screenshot of the Bluetooth metronome on my Galaxy S23U (not connected to my Stinger)

170-200 km/h is 106-125mph. If you happen to be driving against a stiff headwind, that could be effectively 150mph air speed. While Stinger has pretty good aerodynamics, it isn't going to be serenely tranquil at those speeds. There is going to be some wind noise. If nothing else, the two sideview mirrors are gonna create pressure wake and turbulence.

If you drive at those kinds of speed routinely enough for wind noise to bother you, I can't imagine you were surprised by such issue. What other car(s) you drove that didn't have some wind noise at speeds like that?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
